Raheem Sterling | Arsenal Player (on loan)

Thank you, Raheem, for your fantastic contribution to the rise and rise of Manchester City over the last six years.

You have left me with so many great memories, including the brilliant partnership with Leroy, and the many tap-ins you created for each other.

But the outstanding moment for me - and many others, I’m sure - was the winner deep into stoppage time against Southampton. The reaction, both on the pitch and in the stands, was almost akin to the Agüeroooooooooo! moment.

It also kept our winning run going, and without it, Gabriel wouldn’t have had the chance to make us Centurions.

I’m sure you will receive a warm reception every time you return to Etihad. I will certainly give you a resounding cheer.

I, for one am gutted to see Raz leave. He gave us so much over the years, regardless of what anyone says and I still think he had more to give. He's been huge for us,despite his obvious shortfalls on occasions.I only hope that we,as city fans keep our humility and standards by applauding him when he returns against us,as a Chelsea player and dont lower ourselves like the dippers did every time he touched the ball against them.

Thanks for all the memories Raheem.

Got to be said,a very shrewd bit of business by our Club.

I wish him well obviously as we all should.

However.... personally even though he has been contributing , i feel he has been in slow decline for a couple of seasons. And this is the only reason we are moving him on, and cashing in on a depreciating value asset.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, if this move turns in to a bit of disaster for him. With the weight of expectation becoming a burden.

Will the Chelsea fans give him time.

I think he’ll do better at Chelsea than the last few years with us because teams don’t sit back against Chelsea as much as they do against us so there’ll be more broken and open fields to play against for him.

Amazing how the media and the pundits are suddenly hailing Raheem as a genuine footballing superstar. He was an overrated, overpaid headless chicken when he was with us…

Good luck Raz. He's been pivotal in our success.

I have to admit I feel quite torn about this transfer. If he doesn't hit the heights of previous seasons it will look good business. However, he's only 27 and I think Raz has the mentality, determination and desire to regain his top form. Sometimes you need a change of scenery to do that! If he does, I think we might regret selling him to a rival. Shame we couldn't have sold him abroad at least.

Anyway I wish him all the best.
