I'm assuming this name that would make us favourites next season is a manager and not a player; there is nobody beyond Messi, Suarez and John Stones who could have such a seismic impact on the club, and neither of the first two are likely to be available given Barcelona's inability to replace them before 2016.

Simeone (after all, a contract renewal isn't exactly binding if we were willing to pay a release fee) here, Pellegrini to Atletico?
Guardiola is the only manager that would change us to title favourites immediately. Couldn't really see simeone getting the best out of aguero or silva could you?

you say that but what if we were to say sign Sterling and Wilshere plus a player like say Mario Goetze and change to a 41221 to play in a Barcelona of this season style;

--------------------------Aguero------------------------
Goetze---------------------------------------Sterling
----------------Silva-----------Wilshere--------------
Gaya-------------Fernandinho-------------Clyne
--------------Mangala---Kompany-----------------
--------------------------Hart----------------------------

would that make us favourites??
why would we drop zabaleta??

It's not real mate just hypothetical, and I was merely showing a team we could have in regards pace, youth and skill. Not only this we have a squad that wouldn't necessarily be the starting team every week.

It would have a fun time defending set pieces away from home, that's for sure.

Yep, ours, the opposition would only have to leave the back 4 back to defend corners and free kicks.

Disagree; Guardiola has always had superb squads. Simeone's proved to be far more resourceful and can build a strong team with more functional players. He'd sort the defence out, which is crucial if we aspire to win the league again, as well as making the midfield dynamic and competitive, something which has cost us in the big games this season.

And what exactly is simeone going to do with silva and aguero when he's playing his long ball football. Our team is built to play attacking football whilst trying to win the league and guardiola does this time and time again whilst simeone had a small flash in the pan playing his Chelsea like tactics. He wouldn't suit our team at all and if anything would take us backwards
