Still - educate us. What is he better at? He runs with his head down and has no end product. No assists, very few goals. Sterling is YOUNGER than Barkley and shown a lot more already. More goals, more assists, better vision (Barkley doesn't know what to do once he's finished his runs), better dribbler. All Barkley has over Sterling is height and physique, maybe short passing. I just checked and they even make the same amount of tackles, despite Barkley being a big lad. There's no way you can objectively say he's better than Sterling, there's no evidence to support it.

I'm so confused why some fans don't want us to sign Sterling. He's unbelievable for 20. Unbelievable.

He's carried Liverpool to 5th place this season at age 19/20. We saw how good he was with Suarez/Sturridge, he'll be even better with Aguero/Silva (hopefully with Pogba and De Bruyne too) as he improves. He'd give us a completely different dimension to our attack and stretch the game.

Arguably the best U21 footballer in Europe.

Not better than depay, Barkley, laporte, tielemams, marquinhos, draxler, zouma, kovacic, Oliver torres, Chamberlain, stones, dybala...Can go on forever

I can see an argument for Draxler and Kovacic. Both top quality but inconsistent, just like Sterling.
Oliver Torres and Tielemans have a ton of potential but right now are nowhere near Sterling.
Dybala has had 1 decent season at 21, Sterling has had 3 at 20.
Depay unproven and overrated.
Laporte and Marquinhos are quality centre backs but you can't compare them to a winger.
Barkley, Chamberlain, Stones, Zouma? Don't make me laugh.

Kovacic, Draxler, Hojberg, Calhanoglu and Berardi are probably the only players that can compete with Sterling around that age.
