I feel your anguish but I long ago came to the conclusion that we will never get any credit from the media, opposition fans, Uefa, or any other entity linked to football. If we had 11 English players who had all come through our academy playing in the first team they'd still find a stick to beat us with.
It's like the Hindu caste system. Regardless of the heights of success we may reach as a club, regardless of the benefit the Premier League derives from our success, we will for the forseeable future be seen as lowborn upstarts that should be put in our place. It's nothing more than jealousy and snobbery.
We need to get over it and stop hankering for their approval. We need to start enjoying their pain.
I, personally wouldn't have it any other way.
