I reckon he'll be off to arsenal. He's got family down there. Plus i can just see him signing for arse over us.
You can't possibly evaluate how much he wants to go back to London. Maybe he likes life in the North West. People sometimes just enjoy living somewhere; even if they can't put their finger on the reason why.

I can relate to that. I lived in Pompey for a time and had a job there. I would have moved there like a shot, but the mrs wasn't having any of it. I found it overcrowded, expensive compared to home and full of idiots. There was still something about the place which I liked.

Tony Barrett in the Times said it is understood that we are preparing a bid to make Sterling one of our highest paid players

No link because it's behind a pay wall, but some Liverpool fan made a pdf

It's on the second page. Not sure if legit tho several on RAWK say it is

Oxlade Chamberlain, Walcott, Sanchez, Ozil (the latter two obviously not same position but always play wide and cut in)?

If they use all their transfer budget on another winger rather than a CM or CB, I wouldn't mind.

So will it be City? The Blues are interested, but not for silly money – Sterling ticks the boxes for age, pace and home-grown credentials, but at 20 you are buying potential, so any fee would have to be realistic, with two years left on his contract

Stuart Brennan snippet from the article.

Sterling ticks all the boxes we need for the winger we desperately need: homegrown, PL tested, bags of pace, direct, scores goals and versatile (can play LW, behind the striker, RW and even up front).

Hopefully we can get him for 35m but if necessary I think we should bid up to 45m for him. 20 year-olds with this much quality and potential don't come around often. And for once if the oddsmakers are right (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/raheem-sterling/next-club" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.oddschecker.com/football/foo ... /next-club</a>), we are in a great position to land him and not lose out to Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Chelsea etc like we did with Hazard, Javi Martinez, Isco etc.

I cannot see it. He's a 20 year old player with an enormous amount wrong with his game. He's just another overhyped young player, like a number out there at the moment.

I'd actually be disappointed if we signed him full stop, never mind made him a big earner. There's SO MUCH better out there than Sterling!

£40m bid according to papers. Wait for all the Rodwell and Sinclair stories - Talkshite laid the groundwork last night. I'm surprised we aren't being blamed for Johnson shagging a 15 year old either.
