At 20 he's arguably England's best attacking threat from midfield and is miles better than Barkley.

Good point. Wasn't it early last season when Barkley was being touted as a £50 million player. Sterling is an infinitely better prospect in every way.

My trip was and still is Norh thailand, Laos, Vietnam, South Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Borneo, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and then so on till I run out of money. Had to skip Cambodia and go back as meeting family there in July and Vietnam visa extension was too expensive

Think it's probably more about the club wanting to be seen to be doing the right thing. We get slagged off enough already for being bankrolled with 'oil money'. We could just go in with a wad of cash and blow everyone out of the water, but can you imagine the field day the press would have with that? Instead we'll end up paying the asking price, but will have looked to have tried to negotiate a cheaper deal, so we don't appear so crass.
