It's pretty amazing that we're so surprised by the 3 players with the most broadcasted asking prices in Europe.

Sterling is going for 50, KDB is going for 50, Pogba is going for 70m. What were expecting to pay?

Who is surprised?

Because was waiting mid bid so they couldn't join the team for pre season the plan all along?

We had 3 targets who now reportedly we all won't pay the asking price for.

Just negotiations, it's not like you pick up a player in a shop and pay whats on the pricetag. We're trying to pay as little as possible, they're trying to get as much as possible.

I completely understand the reasoning behind not just walloping the asking price down: it makes sense and may mean we aren't seen as pushovers. However, I would love it just to be over and for Khaldoon to authorise the simultaneous green button pressing on all 3 deals, if that is all that we are waiting for

Given Tolms profession, hardly surprising he shares that view.

I'm happy to believe this is done.

The most sensible course of action is for Sterling to keep his head down at Liverpool whilst the two clubs negotiate. He can have a medical in Australia if need be.
Antagonising Liverpool further with no shows won't help.
That's why I believe he will be on their plane.

I think we'll end up paying them pretty much what they want.

I've always thought the Pogba bid was unlikely to succeed, but at least we've got another option with De Bruyne. But we dont seem to be linked with any other attackers apart from Sterling and juniors. And it looks like we're trying to offload Dzeko and Jovetic. Sterling seems to be the only game in town in his position.

Finalising the deal in Australia will take a bit of attention and pressure off, and will let Sterling get on with things away from the spotlight, and without the inevitable grilling from the not biased at all press pack. It makes sense to me.

I'm being thick fella. I know TH works in media but I don't understand your logic. Could you explain for the hard of thinking?
Pollerz seems to be closer to the deal
TH, as you say you know what he is, therefore his info will be third hand and so could lag behind where we are or reflect what the media are thinking
MCRJON seems to know when the deal has completed before its made public
