Think Sterling is getting some unwanted bad press about his attitude. He has been played by Liverpool and the press where he and his agent have been hung him out to dry. As soon as Liverpool stopped getting there way with him signing a contract all the negative shit started coming out. Serves themselves right.

As for the price which hasn't been confirmed yet it keeps being thrown about as £49M when it is actually £44M because no body knows what those add ons are. So as it stands he is £44M. Always love how the medis have Shrek boy costing just over £25M when he ended up being £30M. Was having this argument with a lad at work this morning who wouldn't have it he was £30M. Told him not hard check your own website

Tbf mate owen and fabregas are/were megastars.
It's a matter of opinion of course, but I don't believe they were. Fabregas was ditched by Barca twice. Owen had the chance with his Real move, but he never made the most of it.
Rooney dwarfs the pair of them in achievements, public recognition, earnings and goals for that matter.

Sterling will improve at City no doubt, lets face it when a winger has forwards who will make runs and have good movement (i.e Suarez) it makes his job easier, last season he was having to check back because when he got into a forward position the main pass option was back into midfield Henderson/Allen, if the forwards are making his mind up for him all he has to concentrate on is getting the ball in/around the box and the movement of the others will see good a return of goals.

Exciting times

A decent representation would be a Liverpool great and a City great debating the pros and cons of the deal from both sides. Most people would listen to that.
But no, it's massively skewed to Liverpool, and it will be for a few more years. Even United who have plenty of representation are dwarfed by Liverpool's numbers.

And who would be wheeled out as the City great? ....Danny fookin Mills.

Medical passed, contract signed. Doing interview and photos after lunch, so would think it'll be announced later on today.
Bloody hell Ric...where's all this itk come from...have you 2 user names tolmie and Ric...thanks for the info big man keep it coming on the others

What position do people think he will play? I know most see him as a winger but whenever i've seen him dribble past a couple of players it's usually more centrally. If he does play No.10 then Silva is wasted a bit imo. Either way with Silva, Yaya, Nasri, Lopes, Navas, Sterling and De Bruyne (hopefully) we have some insane options in AM.

Very exciting times I do feel that if we get de Bruyne we may move on Navas and Nasri. Would be regrettable but at the very least we'd get rid of one of them. I think Pells would want to bring Ronny through next season and give him more game time.

The good thing about Sterling being a bit pants all of a sudden is we'll get all the credit when he's ripping fullbacks apart in blue :)

I have a feeling Pogba/KDB would replace Dzeko/Jovetic in the Non-HG quota because I think Txiki is trying to shape the squad with the idea of playing a 4-5-1 formation.

Regarding his position,i imagine him,Silva and hopefully KDB will simply have licence to cause as much havoc as is possible.....Serg will be in dreamland!
