It's not malicious, they're just massively out of their depth. We will never be Barcelona, our climate amongst a number of other factors doesn't allow it. We should have focused on becoming the best English club we could be, and to do that the Blueprint is just across the road if we aren't too arrogant to embrace it. To be fair, Cook and Marwood's blend of buying the best English talent available (we almost signed John Terry) with the likes of Silva, Tevez and Aguero was very Ferguson-esque but slightly more spectacular, and was ultimately what led to our first cycle of success.

If they were still in charge I'm confident the club would be in much better shape right now; even the CFA concept was spawned by Cook and his team.

People grouping Soriano and Txiki together as if they're one entity are just proving they don't know what either does at the club.

Navas is a winger and that 3 year period allegedly saw his peak. If people deem Navas and his meagre output good enough for us, then I hope they're enjoying our relative mediocrity; it's what they deserve.

Sterling is without question a supremely talented kid who would offer us another dimension immediately whilst also having world-class potential. We have to acknowledge that we aren't even the most attractive prospect in English football, let alone Europe, so we are going to have to buy potential and forge our own stars.
I might point out that I'd have Sterling in a heartbeat, I let the club worry about the price since it's not my money.

But you can sod off with the "we aren't even the most attractive prospect in English football" ;)

It's true though; we were on the way to becoming the best until the Spaniards and Pellegrini came to power and completely sabotaged our momentum with their incompetence.

Why are we buying football clubs around the world when we can't even string successive league titles together? If that's such a wonderful idea, why haven't Bayern done it? Or Barcelona? Or Real Madrid?

Let's be honest, if you're a neutral player, would you join us instead of any of the three clubs currently ahead of us in the league? The prospect of working with Van Gaal and Mourinho is far more enticing than Pellegrini, whereas Wenger, aided by geography, has been able to pull some better players to Arsenal than we've brought in while the amigos have been here.

We are a team that has regularly featured the likes of Navas, Fernando, Garcia, Kolarov and Mangala in the past two seasons, yet our fans think we can turn our noses up at the likes of Sterling?!

The work of Cook and Marwood made us a top club, both in a commercial and sporting sense; their successors are taking us backwards.

Wow, you actually think Arsenal/United have a greater pull than us right now? I don't think so and I doubt many do. Definitely not Arsenal. Working with Van Gaal= punting the ball to Fellaini, surely someone like Messi would love to play for them. Fernando is a sub in our team, Obi Mikel is a sub at Chelsea. Wenger has bought one decent player in Sanchez. I wouldn't choose anyone from their XI to come into our team except him. If going backwards=winning a double last season than I am fine with it. This season has been a cock up but I am willing to see how we perform when our form turns.

blueprint is across the road? WHAT ! Are you saying the Rags have been better than us these past 2 seasons? They went and bought the likes of Di Maria and Falcao and have played some shit football and are lucky to be where they are. However they should be challenging for trophies without any European commitments.

Excatly mate and I trust our Owner and Khaldoon to take whatever steps they think is in the best interests of MCFC.
Between them Tom G and Soriano have pushed this Club to new heights. Will Txiki and PM survive ? One possibly but I fear that a change may happen with our Manager.

Had another shit game yesterday. ..says a lot when Blackburn fans start chanting 100 grand you're having a laugh

Sorry if already posted.....

Zinedine Zidane has admitted that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Raheem Sterling. "We know about Sterling and we're obviously following his progress", the Castilla coach said.
"There aren't many players in the world that could improve Real Madrid's first team, so it makes sense to closely monitor the progress of one of the best young players in the world", Zidane explained, who also said: "We followed Bale for over a year and the same can also be said for Isco and Varane. We keep an eye on the best young players in Europe, and if they have something to offer Real Madrid then we contact their club and try to take the next step".
Last week, Sterling, who is 20 years old and has a contract with Liverpool until June 2017, admitted that he turned down a chance to improve and extend his contract with the club. However, Liverpool's manager, Brendan Rodgers, has insisted that the forward is not for sale: "The only thing I will say is that he has two-and-a-half years left. He won't be going anywhere in the summer. That's for sure".

I don't see anything special about Raheem Sterling. Massively overhyped and certainly not worth anything close to the money being talked about.
