He has a pass % rate of 80% this season which is just 6% shy of pass-master Silva's score.

Sterling created 70 chances this season. Only Silva (78) and Navas (77) from our side created more.

That's a fuck lot of chances we could've been getting on the end off.

He has pace but not a great deal else. Similar player to Walcott, who has not greatly progressed over the last 3-4 seasons .

£ 55 million would be wasted buying Sterling simply to add pace to our team.

He's ridiculously intelligent (especially considering his age and position), he has fantastic movement, can dribble well, has a good eye for a pass, etc. The one thing he needs to improve on is his finishing - if he did that, he'd probably have 7 or 8 more goals because he has missed some absolute sitters (3 against the Mancs, Spurs at WHL, Newcastle, QPR, and so on).

I see him as a potential replacement for Samir Nasri and lets face it if we pay around the £30-35mill which would be offset with the sale of Samir who we will sell for around £25-30 mill. He is far from the finished article but he would add that pace in the counter attack and will only develop into the world class player he threatens to be at a big club playing alongside world class players like Aguero just like he shown last year with Suarez. He will be our Eden Hazard and offer us around 30 goals a season weather it be in actual goals or assists, this is better than everyone at our club this season apart from Aguero.

Disagree; Guardiola has always had superb squads. Simeone's proved to be far more resourceful and can build a strong team with more functional players. He'd sort the defence out, which is crucial if we aspire to win the league again, as well as making the midfield dynamic and competitive, something which has cost us in the big games this season.

And what exactly is simeone going to do with silva and aguero when he's playing his long ball football. Our team is built to play attacking football whilst trying to win the league and guardiola does this time and time again whilst simeone had a small flash in the pan playing his Chelsea like tactics. He wouldn't suit our team at all and if anything would take us backwards

Simeone wouldn't suit our current team because the mercenaries wouldn't last a training session with him. Of course Aguero would prosper in a more direct team, but if a coach like that decided to sacrifice Silva for trophies in the way Mourinho has with Mata and De Bruyne, so be it.

Guardiola has taken Heynckes' immense Bayern team, diluted it with average Spaniards like Bernat and made them very beatable.

It's a sad day when some of our fans think they can turn their nose up at Simeone's achievements in the past few years, achievements that have easily eclipsed our own without the lavish spending and squad depth. Bitterness perhaps?

Haha, in what world are Bernat and Alcantara average? Both have been steals for Bayern. Thiago walks into any team in the world at the moment and Bernat is fantastic.

Must have missed this quality you talk about. Seen a lot of miscontrolled balls bouncing of him though.

You have a point although I think that training every day with the like of Vinny, Sergio and David rather than Henderson, Lambert and Johnson might improve his game somewhat.

Odd thing to say. "Vinny" has been a woeful defender. You've then gone and picked out a midfielder who would have been one of your best players this season and two of our worst players. Could easily say the same about the likes of Mangala and Fernando.
