This will teach the market what we are about. They can ask 30-40-50m for their overpriced players but we will get those players for 29-39-49m and not cent more..

Lets hope Sterling is gonna improve a lot as he needs to, he has the potential for it, hopefully the mentality as well...

City tax and English tax are included in his price imo clearly.

I hope we are really turning into a pressing team finally, that actually will press from the front and Sterling has that young energy/pace that can help us.
 
Do you think Liverpool fans would be bitter if Sterling wasn't a brilliant player? If he wasn't their best youth product in 15 years?

If he's so over-rated, why are they hurting so so badly?

Best U21 player in Europe. Best young English player. And he's ours.

£50m is a ridiculously overpriced fee but like PSG we'll be forced into overpaying because of the owners we have. Annoying how other clubs raise the fees of their players whenever we're involved but at least we've got our player.

Sterling over the Sinclair's of this world any day. Now close the KDB & Fabinho deals & lets win our title back!

This, totally this. If he leaves in 5 plus years after winning 3 titles and a chimps league, nobody bats an eyelid. If he leaves in 18 months for 15 million then we hang our heads.

If we'll pay £49 mil for Sterling, other clubs are going to see us coming and what another few mil on the price. Arsenal got Sanchez for £35mil, Chelsea got Fabregas for similar. Both highly proven players entering their prime. We're being made to look like mugs if we pay that; the Liverpool fans want him gone and he's not got that much longer on his contract. Strange, I honestly can't see the logic in paying so much, especially as we rarely use traditional wingers.

Exactly..put it this way..I'd rather spunk nearly 50 mil on Sterling than on David Luiz

You pay extra 10m atleast for English passport
