Do city fans actually pay for this sky shit ffs.
Come on, now Stan. Fairs fair. They followed up the Dipper ex-pro conference with the MANUre Sunday Night at the Carrington! Bastian on his private jet, Dick van Miffy going to Istanbul and all the tweets and whatnot from his mates at The Swamp. That's better balance than yer normally get from SkySkunksTV.

All of this is true. I imagine Fowler, Owen, McPointalot, Carragher, Barnes, Gerrard, Houghton, Sou(r)ness are all getting early nights tonight. Waiting for the inevitable call to air their "expert" opinions tomorrow. Where is Gary Owen when you need him ?

How did he take the news when he found out that they actually were bought?

Hope he gets 7 but think it would be 31. Either way, this is the first time in a long time im going for a name on my kit (that isnt Kun), Sterling or if we get Pogba, too tempting to resist

He said 3 of the 5 were nothing players until they arrived at the swamp and they have been brought on by the youth set up ......I pointed out that all 5 players played a combined 382 league games for their previous clubs.....I am awaiting a reply

I can see him having the same sort of impact to our team as Darren Huckerby did when we were in the second tier. My prediction/hope is that his pace and foot skills will be the part of the jigsaw that finally makes us "click" going forward. Silva, Aguero, Boney, Yaya, Fernandinho, Navas(?), Nasri (?), with Sterling added into the mix; it could be a thing or real beautiful to watch. I'm happy, :) , and this is only our first REAL signing of the summer Long may this boredom continue if this is the end result.

To quote a poster from much earlier in this thread :-

"Silva to Sterling"
"Little dummy and nutmeg"
"Slips it thru to Aguero"
"Tap in"

All that I will add is, "...and repeat!" :)

Let's put it another way..as a club would you rather a 20 year old player who will undoubtedly improve your first team or the money?

Without sounding like a c*nt..money is not an issue to us..getting in quality players who will improve our team is all we are interested in..if Raheem stays for 10 years for example..or even 5/6 years..he will be well worth the price paid
You sound like a ****.

;-)

Delighted we have got this guy.
Best young English player by a mile
Best young player in Europe last year (voted)
Best player at a mid-table club (albeit with a big issstorrrryyy)
Gives us numerous tactical options
Gives us electric pace (image him sought out by a silva or yaya special)

Wait until our next 2 signings are made and see what the rest of the bitter PL fans think then!

I understand that we bought sterling for the home grown quota but if we bought him purely for that then why not just buy someone like butland or rob green to replace caballero

In terms of the deal, youve given us Milner in his prime + £49million for Raheem Sterling.

I think we can agree Milner played better than Sterling last year as well.

We didn't give him to you, you thick twat. He was at the end of his contract and was able to go wherever he pleased. He did so with a good send off from City fans, not vitriol and hatred.
He didn't arrive at Liverpool for free either, he procured himself a handsome signing on fee, which when added to his wages stacked up to a better financial package than City's wages alone. Fair play to him, he got the best financial deal and probably more game time with Liverpool. Nobody at City despises him for it.

Funny how its 44 + 5 in add ones so BBC report it as 49 million but Luke Shaw was 27 + add ons rising to 32 mill but in the same article they have that down as 27 million. Anyhow tomorrow it will be he joined us in a 75 million deal once they add wages, phone bills, insurance costs and everything else to it

And here you have it ... headline in the Daily Record about the Sterling transfer:

Obscene: Manchester City strike £100m deal for Liverpool and England winger Raheem Sterling

He will be dynamite player with us and grow to be world class in a few years. Just not pleased we are paying that much to those lot after Milner fucked us off to join them on a free. So basically they got our player for free and we pay them 44m for one of theirs.

I understand that we bought sterling for the home grown quota but if we bought him purely for that then why not just buy someone like butland or rob green to replace caballero
We did not buy and spunk £44m upfront on Sterling just because of HG. We bought him because he is HG yes, but also because he is what we need and is good enough for our best XI + has big potential as well.
