I still can't make out why he wants to play for a club that clearly are in trouble and have a a real chance of going bust.
He's still a relatively young lad who possibly thinks (rightly or wrongly) that he's 'hit the buffers' at City, and may no longer see himself as one of the top dogs at the club.
Mahrez and Bernardo have claimed the right side of the attack; Foden and Grealish, the left. Raheem hasn't shown any real sign of adapting to the 'false nine' role, and knows that the arrival of a new striker will close that door for him.
Taking those points into account, it's easy to see why the media may see Raheem as a viable target for a club like Barcelona.
Barcelona for their part, would almost certainly welcome a chance to sign Raheem, being in a position to almost guarantee him a regular start in the team.
The lad's made his millions and won trophies galore at City. It's now probably more about the World Cup 2022 and feeling wanted. If he wants a move, it's no surprise.
