He should sign a new contract with a gentleman's agreement to let him go if an offer from a club he wants to play for comes in.
Nah. He signs or he doesn't, no need for this gentleman's agreement bollocksHe should sign a new contract with a gentleman's agreement to let him go if an offer from a club he wants to play for comes in.
Ha, I was attempting to be sarcastic as in Kane's alleged gentleman's agreement :)Nah. He signs or he doesn't, no need for this gentleman's agreement bollocks
Would the club let him run it down? or would they look to sell in the summer if he's not looking to sign an extension?Agreed, which he can do by running down his deal for another 18 months and leaving for free.
He might as well hedge his bets on £300k a week and see how the land lays.
Not good for City, but I would rather he did that and we avoided being wedded to another five years on even greater wages.
It will have been eight years service by then and more than recouped the transfer fee.
Has he switched to a new agency? I thought he was going to it without one like how KDB handled it.His new reps are not happy with the story and dispute the claims.
There is no change.
My thoughts are that you haven't seen much of Raphinha or Coman if you believe they would be an adequate replacement for the second-highest City goalscorer of the 21st Century.
For every successful Bundesliga import we see (Sané, Aubameyang, Gundogan and even the first two were only for a few years) there are countless who look amazing in Germany, come here and we quickly discover they're not up to it against PL defenders (Haller, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan, Sancho, Joelinton, Werner, arguably Havertz etc.)
Sterling is a proven Premier League goalscorer, one of the best of the last decade, and it's staggering how much we undervalue that as a fanbase.
Worked well for Kane didn't it!He should sign a new contract with a gentleman's agreement to let him go if an offer from a club he wants to play for comes in.

With Bayern extending Coman and Madrid getting Mbappe, the only team who I can see being able to afford him internationally would be PSG- which honestly would make sense in regards to replacing Mbappe. If I had to guess, I think we'll end up getting something done but who knows, really. Wait and see.City have lost the window to dictate it unless they are now prepared to take a ridiculously low fee this summer, that buyer is from abroad and they can afford both the fee and his wages.
Sterling need but wait 12 more months and he can pocket a £20m signing fee and still get improved wages, and choose if he wishes to remain in England.
Same situation as Sane.
