That was the exact moment I knew he was done for me.

Any forward worth a damn would, even if he didn’t have the wheels to beat the defender (Matip, ffs!) have at least cut across his path to either take the foul, a sure yellow and perhaps red (although the wet fanny in black had apparently not brought that card with him that day!) or simply given himself the opportunity to be on HIS best foot and put the defender on HIS wrong side!

The last thing I think any City player thought was going to happen was what transpired. The worst I thought would happen was that he‘d either take the shot and it’d go straight at the keeper or high and wide OR the more likely option…he’d try to go around Allison and get the ball taken off him by the keeper. But, get caught and just turn into trouble?????

Whatever he had, he either doesn’t have it anymore or he’s so lacking in confidence it’s buried under a pile of psychological shit he can’t currently overcome.

If we get that figure for him then it's because his contract is running out and we didn't sell/ replace sooner. The best outcome will be making the most of a bad situation. No need to dress it up as a win on our part.

I read his post as being that ie, under the current circumstances. And, under those circumstances, I would agree recouping our outlay, wouldn’t be that bad an outcome.

It should be the very very minimum we recoup and even that would signal a great bit of business for the buying club.

I mostly agree with all that, especially that last sentence!

Mahrez is under contract until age 32. As you state with Gundo, he will be short term contract material at City. If he is still doing well and we offer two years, I’d see him trying to squeeze 3 yrs out of someone else. However, his big pay day contracts AT CITY are over. I could see him leaving on a free after letting his contract run down. But then, we should have replacements.

Jesus? Pep loves him, his attitude and work rate. He’s young and has grown here. I’d be very surprised if we didn’t tie him down very shortly. This next contract will be a big one for him.

It sometimes looks like his left foot is on his right leg and vice versa missed some sitters, I must admit that when I see his name on the team sheet my heart drops, not the required standard as far as I'm concerned.
 
Well I imagine he will get a chance to prove his worth now Torres is out for 3 months. Hopefully being in the shop window will benefit all parties for the foreseeable.
If he still fails to perform then he's only himself to blame.

Name the last time you saw ANYTHING like that from Sterling.
