I feel very uneasy about this one. Losing both Jesus and Sterling in one window may be too much change.

Surely he's also got to be thinking that if he can get into the squad and link up with Haalaad then he's only going to add to his stock. He's got the pace and directness that Grealish doesn't, and imo we do need to replace that if he goes.

His finishing, yes ok it's not always great, but don't forget he's capable of goals like that one at Bournemouth, as well as the tap ins, and could seriously be looking at 20 plus goals here in a world cup year.

Going elsewhere ahead of a winter world cup is a big risk, unless he's not getting game time. He has to fit in and hit the ground running from August to December, or his place is at serious risk. He gets dropped or inured elsewhere then harder to recover. A city he knows the system and being out for a week or two isn't such the issue. Got to Chelsea or Madrid, not score for 5 and the press will be out in force.

I also believe that, whilst Pep would be ok with him going, we are not expecting him to go. I don't see Alvarez or Haalaad as replacements, I do believe we'd bring in another wide player and we are hearing nothing there. Although that is often how City do business, nice and quiet and no leaks.

I believe he'll stay and review in January, possibly going on a free.

I'd love Raz to stay but I don't think his heart is in it here anymore. Be interesting to see what he would do if he was guaranteed a start every week though. He's been superb for us during his time. His public stick has risen since he accused the press of double standards and he has many outside interests too. A move back to London may be what he wants. I was hoping he would do another 3 years especially with Haaland here now which I feel will start creating some space behind as I'm sure Haaland is going to start dragging a few defenders out.

Its a tuff one agreed. Sterling can be great but his finishing is average for a player at the top level. He didnt start either champs league semi and you can feel Pep doesnt fully trust him. On the flip side he did come on and change the game against Villa creating the first which changed the whole momentum of that game.

With Haaland/Alvarez you can kind of see Jesus being let go. But to loose both is a risk as you say. I’d probably keep Sterling (just) but that comes with the risk we loose him for free a year down the line.
