LolYou are right, but I think his mentality isn’t for this squad, opposed to Jesus, whose mentality is on spot

And what if he under performs?Think it through. He signs a new deal 18 months ago and ups his pay to £350k then who the fuck has the money to pay a higher fee and fucking stupid wages of £350k per week which he very much doesn’t warrant?
This is how Barca and some others have operated...how did Sterling warrant a raise?...then how do you extend Rodri, Foden...maybe bump up Bernardo...all much more important and valuable then Sterling IMO...Think it through. Sounds like he wanted to write cheques his skillset couldn't afford. And what if he under performs?

He was in the process of Milner-ing us. Never had any intention of extending his contract, imo.Business common sense aside, he's been nowhere near good enough to justify a starting place in our team for at least 18 months.
He has stalled talks and made starting every week, the foundation of his conditions for signing.
The real question is, was starting every week a convenient ruse, and why did he not bring his best form to ensure an even stronger bargaining position?
My own view is that he always intended to run his deal down and just fancied a change of scene, has been found out by better players and a manager who was always just waiting for him to prove him wrong.

As with most debates, the two extremes are the most vocal, whereas the truth lies somewhere in between.Proper shit Sterling, only made it into our top 10 scorers because of those around him. Somehow score loads of goals and got loads of assists because of those around him. Somehow fooled the best coach in football that he should play a key role in a team that won 4 out of 5 titles.
He wants to go, fair fucks, and his form hasn't reached previous heights but the revisionist bullshit is ridiculous. He isn't a product of the work of those around him, just chipping in with a goal (or miss) at the back post, he was part of it throughout.
