I don’t think Chelsea are strengthening by loaning out Lukaku and bringing in Sterling.

Completely different players, sterling is more direct, where as lukaku is a target to hit when under pressure and to hold the ball up, depends how tuchel wants to play next season

Right but I still think the smarter move would be to hold tight for the last year. Not much confidence in Chelsea doing well next season, with or without Sterling. That's before you get on to the financial side of things for him and the high probability of him pocketing more money on the expiration of his contract.

This is obviously economically better for us but business is business and I'm not particularly arsed if a player wants to see out their contract so I wouldn't hold it against him or anyone else.

A little exaggeration, but I also don't get why are we not going to sign a winger to replace Sterling when we IMO have to. Bernardo's replacement is required if he could go, the same with Ake and Zinchenko. We are so thin and I don't get the idea of having a small squad, especially in the period of April-May.

I know they’re completely different players but I believe Chelsea are stronger with Lukaku than Sterling. Tuchel disagrees obviously but they’ve spent the neck end of £150m on them and have only one in the team. I don’t worry that they will be stronger this season with this change.

I’d also argue Lukaku is far more direct than Sterling.
