Yep, that's the dilemma, we have Lavia, McAtee (worried on that issue) and Palmer, all who should/could be incorporated into the next first-team evolution.

Gundo, Fern, Mahrez and Sterling are all coming to the end of this cycle, so we will have wiggle room to still add quality from outside.

De Bruyne is hopefully going to perform to a high level until 32/33, but I have my own concerns that his peak might have already come and gone in terms of his physicality.
Hope your worries are unfounded about McAtee.....because from what I have seen his ceiling in terms of ability is near to Phil.

It wouldn't worry me if Mahrez and Sterling never pulled on a City shit ever again..... we know they rarely deliver in the big games (PSG last year the exception for Mahrez)........although we could also say the same about Kev.

I know I'm repeating myself but I would like some these youngsters being the first port of call as replacements for the first 11 when rotation is required

Can't see how he goes in January unless we sign another forward, sadly.

City and Sterling seem to know where each stands, if nobody is rocking the boat, then unless we bend over on some low ball loan because he is detrimental the dressing room, it will be summer (thanks goodness the World Cup is later this year)

There was a couple of reports last week about City scouting Antony who Ajax would sell in January. Young Brazilian winger who’s starting to flourish at Ajax. Could be a Raz replacement

Swap for a midfielder at Barca maybe?certain Dutch player who has realised the Spanish league isn’t what he thought it was

De Jong is having trouble at Barca so we could get him.

Not seen enough of McAtee to make a judgment, but all the talk at the Academy is about how talented he is.

Pep has shown with Phil the way to drip feed into the first team and hopefully that's what is happening now with Palmer.

A happy medium must be found, as Chelsea now appear to have woken up to after a decade of brilliant youth prospects.

Ironically, his best one was at Wembley in the penalty shoot-out win against Chelsea.

I was shouting, "fuck, no" when he walked up to take the decisive one, but he top-binned it off the underside of the crossbar.

It looked perfect. He actually lean't back on it, which gave it the elevation, but is usually the issue he has with taking penalties.

It reminded me very much of Richard Edghill's in the penalty shoot-out against Gillingham. Again, I was shouting, "fuck, no" - I thought he had missed but it goes in off the underside of the bar.

Edghill wheels away with his arms, but he wasn't kidding anyone, he'd already shat his pants in relief.

As had I!
I shit myself when he walked up to take it but he delivered and the rest is history as we say.

Mcatee is very talented. The problem for James is that City are stacked in his position, same for Cole Palmer, but if they are both good enough they will come through to have good careers with us.

Could be worse, I lost track of the penalties and didn't realise it was the winning penalty until my boy jumped on me and everybody went crazy.

I was just shouting not Sterling because I thought he would miss!!

It was when that stupid penalty sequence was introduced and the team who went second then took two?
