Ramadan

It is isn't it. The idea that an entire underground organisation could somehow be relocated from unknown locations to somewhere with no sunset, thus through enforced starvation becoming inefficient as a terrorist organisation is extremely stupid. Ridiculous in fact. Well done, you've identified the source of the humour in the statement.

Take it you weren't amused from the tone of your response though? Oh well, horses for courses. I'll live with that.

What do you expect from someone who has so much free time that he makes over 1100 inane posts in a few months. Lloydie, Just need to ignore people like this, you wouldn't engage with him in your normal life so why on blue moon?
You musn't talk to many city fan's as I think you'll find that most would find it quite amusing. It must be really entertaining having a conversation with you having to watch the p's and q's.

Put simply, i'm sure that if a religious commitment affected a players professional performance then the club would intervene. I don't know the legal technicalities on a matter such as this but I can't see City getting screwed over by ramadan, especially since the no-nonsense approach since the takeover.

I should imagine that we could have a row of seats on the bench reserved for those who are fasting. Pundits won't come out and say that the strength of the MCFC squad, with two players for each position and a number of utility players, will cover most eventualities, including fasting during the month of Ramadan, but I forsee no problem. How many goals were down to Kolo's fasting last year? Can't remember any.

Ooh brilliant - my first Bluemoon hater! This shouldn't take long.

I notice you joined about the same time as me - is your vitriol at my 1,100 posts (not all of which were inane to be fair, though I'll grant you many were, and will remain so. And it averages out at about four a day. Bearing in mind I don't post every day, but then some days I get caught up in an ongoing discussion, that doesn't seem an unreasonable amount of time to spend posting) based on the fact that it takes you a lot longer to read and have thus amassed a mere two hundred and whatever?

Not that it's a posting contest, but throw in the fact that once you've worked out the squiggly shapes, everything has to then go through your sense of humour bypass, and I can see how going online would be a tiresome experience for you.

Maybe stick to putting assorted shapes into the right hole for now?

City players that are muslims and going to fast are: Abdisalam Ibrahim, Yaya Touré, Kolo Touré, Patrick Vieira ..

gonna be a long day for them in England this month, fasting for like 14~15hrs!~

Firstly, Sharia or Sharia law is not the official law system of any country in the world.

Abu Dhabi has Sharia courts for Muslims.
Pretty sure Saudi Arabia works under Sharia.

I don't know much about it, but those two immediately jumped to mind. I would imagine that quite a few African states would have implemented Sharia in some way, shape or form

Many countries have sharia courts as such, for example, England. Sharia courts deal with things from marriage aswell.

Abu Dhabi and the rest of UAE don't follow Sharia, they impliment a system of their own which is based on Islamic principles. For example, people in UAE can drink alcohol, and they don't have to wear Hijab.

Saudi Arabia similarly, uses many aspects of Sharia yet also installs aspects of their own system. The divorce and financial systems that they use are a prime example.

Nationalism itself is banned under Sharia, therefore a country can't follow sharia. An Islamic caliphate would have to be installed, with a caliph in power.

Afghanistan was the last country to follow Sharia, when the Taliban were in power. Although it was a very strict version of the law system.
