Ramires....

I'd rather buy milner as he's proven in the premiership and isn't afraid to put in a shift...

I understand what your saying mate but i think we have enough grafters in the team already and i would prefer to bring in some class. Milner is a decent player but no better, the only reason we are being told to pay £30 million is because hes english. Id rather we took a bit of a risk and bought Ramires. He showed in the world cup hes a class act and ive seen him a few times for Benfica and for Brazil before the world cup and he looks the part and i feel he could flourish in the premiership. £22 million is a lot for a player who has only played a handful of games and has only played in average leagues but he could become 1 of the worlds best midfielders where Milner cant

Indeed they were looking at him. I remember they were once looking at another Brazilian but another team got him instead. Granted he turned out shit. But chelski aren't the be all and end all of player destinations.

22m :o thats a rip off.
Can't decide. Ramires cheaper, and more skill-full option than Milner - but not as strong. which may count against him (Ramires) in prem.... so, pro's & cons on both sides for me

not crazy on getting any brazilians for a while....considering we got elano, robinho and jo....which all were clowns(in the end)!

a few brazilians were good in the world cup...but they were defensive players.

i was sure ramires was a DM? either or i think we should buy some homegrown players!

It’s a Ram raid for Brazil star By GEOFF SWEET - The Sun

BRAZILIAN World Cup ace Ramires will decide tomorrow whether to join Chelsea or Manchester City.
The Premier League champions have made a £20million bid for Benfica's defensive midfielder.

Yet Ramires, 23, who starred in Brazil's run to the quarter-finals in South Africa, is also wanted at Eastlands.

Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira will meet with both English clubs to thrash out a deal best suited to the Portuguese champs.

Ramires is ready to accept the four-year deal worth nearly £50,000 a week on offer from Chelsea.

Yet City hope to gatecrash the party at the 11th hour.

Ramires cost Benfica £5.5m from Cruzeiro last year.

Brazil boss Dunga said he was sorely missed after suspension ruled him out of his nation's 2-1 last-eight defeat by the Netherlands.
