I’m always in “some embarrassing band” t shirt according to my thirty something kids. So embarrassed are they that they have asked the Mrs to steer me away from the souvenir stands. Apparently my “style” is now old fashioned - funny that cos I thought retro was a thing

My daughter just shakes her head when I wear my Frank Sidebottom t shirt, no appreciation of greatness the kids of today.

You fucking do! They were selling Ramones T-shirts in Next or somewhere so every muppet moron went and bought one, despite not owning one Ramones album. I must say, it grinds my fucking gears.

Yep, I see them all over the show too !

when people have said “ooh, you’d look nice in that T-shirt” I’d just reply WTF would I get one, all I know about them is “Joey Ramone”, and “Baby I love you” ( at least I think that the name of the song , which I do actually like).

I remember about 20 years ago finding a stall in Bangkok that had loads of punk tshirts
Bought a few Ramones Pistols and Clash ones. No one had really seen these before and quality was great.
Now every high Street shop seems to be selling them.
Has it got something to do with copyright expiring?

My niece wears a rolling stones t-shirt which she picked out according to her mum. Lips with tongue out graphic one. Shes 7.I told her I liked her rolling stones t-shirt and she said 'its not a rolling stone its a mouth'.

Who, The Ramones?

In the mid seventies I always used to listen to the Alan Freeman Rock Show with its 14 hour drum solos. One show Freeman announced that there was a new sound called "Punk Rock" going around and then played Sheena Is A Punk Rocker. First Punk record I ever heard.
