this info is pretty much common knowledge in scotland for a while
several seasons ago they release weir in may and re signed him in august so they didnt have to pay him two months wages

When reading the OP I thought about Weiss instantly, then Beattie. Beattie wouldn't have one there for penny's, thats a dead cert. If they were that much in shit as the OP says they are, shirley no-one would have been allowed to come in, especially those on half decent money....
Also, think how bad our finances looked just before Frank sold us, it was getting worse and worse by the minute, so its a bit big-headed to be laughing at Rangers and saying it couldn't happen to a nicer set of sectarian scum bags i think was the phrase. Yes some of their fans are absolute animals, and their well behaved fans will admit that too, but Rangers are a massive club, probably bigger than us in terms of global recognition, appearances in the CL, honours, (albeit in the Scottish league). I used to like watching them on a Sunday just after Gazza had signed with the likes of Kanchelski's etc, they were a good side to watch.

I couldn't even bring myself to cheer them against united. I was working in town on the night they trashed it and was sick at some of the things I saw, I'd like to say it was only a small minority, but it wasn't. I couldn't care less if this 'great' club disappear from the face of the earth.
