Rate the refs

Most of the ref's in the early days of the Prem were either crap, unfit or pedantic (Ellary was a prime example).

The current crop don't have those excuses. They are well drilled in the rules and are a hundred times fitter than the old lot. How they fail to see blatant incidents is beyond me (like when Aguero got a retrospective for elbowing, when pictures show the ref was clearly looking directly at him). Everyone of them is entitled to a bad day at the office every now and again, but when the officials are announced for a game and you instantly know what you are going to get from the ref, something is radically wrong with the game.

I'll do it on a match to match basis:

-----------------------------------------------
Anthony Taylor vs Chelsea (h) - 0/10
Bloody hell - that's too generous, he definitely deserves a digit greater than a 0 as long as the minus sign goes in front of it.

Worst ref I ever saw was in an U13s game a few years back. He was so old and overweight, he never once left the centre-circle during the match. He was asked, as the game was in the dying minutes, how much time was left, and he actually blew his whistle so he could catch his breath in order to answer the question. Then blew it again to restart the game.

I'm surprised he hasn't turned up in the Premier League.

Some refs are bloody useless, no doubt. But a lot of blame has to go on the Premier League, the FA and in a wider context, FIFA. All 3 are loaded with cash, have the most popular sport on the planet and yet are light years behind most other sports in their use of technology and aiding officials in making better decisions.
How often do we talk about refs having made game-changing decisions? You don't really here that for other sports, yes officials do still make mistakes but they are mostly, quickly rectified.
We certainly could learn more from rugby officials, they can even let play continue whilst asking a 4th official to look at an incident just happened if he's unsure and just didn't want to stop play. Exactly the scenario for the Luiz incident, he could have played on but asked someone to look at it, and within 20 seconds the decision would have come back to stop play, award a free-kick and send him off. Honestly it's a joke that we don't move forward and end this archaic way of officiating.
Furthermore, you'd then get less bad feelings for perceived injustices so overall behaviour and therefore image of the game would improve.

This was quite an interesting piece of info re refs and which teams they do well for and not so well for.

Note the 'Villain' for U*ited, trying to hard to conceal his true support? Hmmm.

I'll do it on a match to match basis:

Slavko Vincic vs Celtic (h) - 5.5/10 - Missed a possible penalty for both sides and should have had the yellow card on sooner on a couple of occasions.
-----------------------------------------------
Anthony Taylor vs Chelsea (h) - 0/10 - 0 being the absolute lowest, dick head sums him up.

I don't mind Clattenburg, Probert, Friend. Oliver has normally been okay for us, but I've seen him bottle it in other games like the rags ones.

If Jon Moss or Taylor are reffing, bet on the underdog as there's dodginess afoot, and not just on us.

Taylor's performance on Saturday was the worst I have seen in a City match I think. I am struggling to put them all down as just sheer incompetence which then leads you to decide it was sadly deliberate bias.

Taylor is the worst, closely followed by Madley and Moss. All 3 are either hopelessly incompetent or completely bent.

I am a great advocate of the use of technology in football because every sport which uses it has improved the quality of decision making re what actually happens on the pitch dictating the level of sanction. However, I have little doubt that were football to adopt the most up-to-date technology available we would still end up with a situation where the six cards for sending off offences - 2 for City, 2 for CFC and 2 for MANUre would still result in just City being the team with 2 reds and the loathsome Fabregarse, Chalabah, Rojo and BigKonk would have their wrists slapped and available for the next game after the shysters at the FArce had scrutinised thoroughly the videos of the offences. We would still end up with our players banned for seven games. Technology - PLUS CA CHANGE, PLUS C'EST LA MEME CHOSE!

Totally unsurprised that the quality of refereeing is so poor. Who would want to be one now, the scrutiny they come under?

Starts in youth football, I've seen it first hand watching my son from Under 9s, the amount of stick young lads/lasses are given if they get a decision wrong is unreal. Why would anyone want to ref when you're subjected to that amount of abuse?

There are bent rag, arse, dipper, spuds and chav refs and a few utterly incompetant fuck wit refs, not one single bent City ref.
That makes a big difference come the end of the season.
There is a massive media led agenda against us and most of the refs are buying into it.

Therefore I'm labeling them all utter ****s just in case ..!
