Every team plays this away against us. Madrid all the way down to the Trafford buccaneers -:)
That’s not quite true, which leaves us in a bit of a bind. Some teams have chosen to go against us man-to-man, others the low block, and some have tried to mix their approaches. It’s fast getting to the stage where we almost need two teams, depending on how the opponent intends setting up.

Or we could let them worry about us a little as well and what we intend to do

Will be interesting this. Reminds me of Kinkladze with the dribbling and the defensive work rate. Will it work out ? No idea but will be an interesting watch.

That’s ok; we’ve had two complete teams of internationals for years apparently, even when the squad had 19 players in it.

Need someone to translate some of these but gist is he covers distance (or over avg.) but doesn't sprint much (under avg.)?
Starting from the top and going clockwise, it reads: Distance covered, distance run, distance at high speed, Number of high speed runs, Distance sprinted, Number of sprints, Short accelerations, Sudden acceleration, Top speed, Meters per minute.

Not sure I can make the difference between some of these categories. What I can tell you is that Cherki was regularly one of the players covering the longest distance in a game this season. He really stepped up his game on an athletic stand point. He used to be tracked back easily in a few yards before, it's no longer the case. It's not the most dynamic player but he is globally in the norm of a 2025 professional player in this domain which was not the case 2 years ago.

One key to analyse the chart, the comparison is made with forwards, which includes traditional wingers and strikers (Ligue 1 strikers tend to be of the running type).

Not got Kinky’s burst of pace but is 2 footed. More Benarbia like for me if anyone. Although obviously quicker than Ali was by the time he got to City
