RB Leipzig (A) - Post-match Thread

I feel the club lost 3 points, 3 millions (thats what the club get when they win a game in CL ) & a chance to let our youngsters play to gain experience and rise their value.

A decent performance from Wilson the RB will rise his value more than winning the match.

A 90 minutes from Mcatee will show Pep that he is good enough to compete with Sterling & Grealish.

I think we just have to accept and live with that Pep will frustrate us 5 games per season but he will entertain us for the remaining 55.
That lad had a cracking game against Wycombe in the cup and we haven't seen him in the first team since. Last night was the perfect opportunity to blood youngsters, What a moment it would of been for them too to play in a Champions League game.

Sorry, but we can't have it both ways. It was either a dead rubber or it wasn't

For all his former glory Fernandinho has aged rapidly over the summer and is now a liability against pace (he also struggled at Villa last week)
We then magnify the issue by also picking Ake and Zinchenko, who whilst not having a particularly bad game are simply not as good as Cancelo and Dias, Similarly Steffan was our best player, but his distribution isn't as crisp as Ederson.

De Bruyne has been poor this season, whilst Stones, Walker, Grealish, and Mahrez didn't want to be there. In fact Walker's performance was so weird even Martin Keown noticed

All this wouldn't have bothered me so much if we'd started with Palmer, or used McAtee at some point

My thoughts exactly. And the whole night was a fucking shambles, despite how the weirdo Scouse-esque Pepsexuals might try to justify it
Yeah but Pep and the players kept that winning habit plus no injuries or suspensions so all goo.........

Oh wait

Anyhow one positive note we won the respect the competition trophy which is good especially as the competition has always been fair to us. A moral victory if you like.

Pep knew that Leipzig would be well up for this match, that's why he put a first team out there, the pups would have endured a cricket score against., just a pity he did not express his concerns to the team, as they thought it was a walkover, instead it was a walker off! Bag o shite from first team, wake up and smell the wolves!

He gave Garcia enough opportunity
I believe our current youngsters would have been kicked off the pitch which would have broken them mentality and maybe even injured them. Imagine picking up an injury and not being able to play in future games you weren't getting picked for anyhow.

Plus garcia was a different level, man mountain, mentally superior and was brilliant when he played.

That or he left a paella on Peps door step every day:-)

Garcia was dogshit and a coward.

genuine question - are we a beter team without KDB and Grealish at present..... We know KDB's quality and Im not doubting that for a second but this season has been poor from him....mainly due to clearly not being fit.....but we cantafford passengers and our best displays have come without him or Grealish in the team
