RB Leipzig (A) | Post Match Thread

Same old story, really poor when put under any sustained pressure this season.

That's a result of how slow and methodical our tactics are, it leaves us the wrong side of the ball or standing square on when the ball is given up.

We aren't good enough to mount a rearguard action without not conceding.

Eddie was terrible for their equaliser, got caught under the flight of the ball, regardless of Dias being outjumped.

Bernie gives us legs but our midfield this season lacks drive and penetration and he is unable to see a quick pass.

It's why Gundo still stands out when he tried to play quicker or a forward pass, because he and De Bruyne are the only people who are capable of doing it, but they can't cover the ground like they used to.

Haaland must be an astounding pro, because I would have chinned Bernie and others for their reluctance or inability to at least try to find him.

Much more of this, and he will be ran in to the ground or out the door in the next couple of years.

It's a City team which needs a huge injection of drive that can power the team forward.

Walker is finished at the top level and fell to pieces again when asked to defend this season.

We need full backs for both sides, and a hugely creative ball player next to someone like Bellingham.

At the very least, a sub or two from Pep, who doesn't make changes when it is clear the momentum is with the other team, is increasingly apparent this season.

Gvardiol goal is a foul on Dias. How's he supposed to defend the cross when he's 2 arms on his back keeping him down?

Not a foul for me and never will be.

Dias is slow to react and Gvardiol got the jump on him and nobody jumps without using arms for leverage.

Dias is only slow to react because Ederson is again rooted to his line and missed the flight of the ball.

it was a decent draw away against a pretty good team but..... it could of been so much more

second half haven't a clue what happened to bernie and kyle constantly giving the ball away and you cant do that at this level

big up to jack and gundo easily our best two players

can anyone find a clean sheet for me

At the end of the season, when we've won the Premier League, FA Cup and Chumps League there'll still be people on here whinging. A one all draw away in the Chumps League, to a quality team, is a bloody good result.

Some of the 'fans' on here should take a long look at themselves because you're reminding me of Rags fans in the 90s!

Reading a scattering of the 102 pages on this thread thinking to myself that a draw against a top European team away was a good result makes me feel that I've been watching another team for 50 plus years .
But on hindsight I realise that a good away performance needs applauding
Well done Pep and the lads and the fans that travelled quite a lot on here need to reign in the negatively and get behind the boys
Leipzig aren’t a top European team. They’re okay, but nothing special at all.

If we turn up in the second leg we’ll put four or five past them.
