RB Leipzig (A) | Post Match Thread

Astonishing handball shown by the BT mob - the pundits were laughing it up, and Jake H shrugs it off saying it makes no difference now - too fucking true, they were delighted that City were denied a potential winning goal scoring chance. Ref couldn't wait to blow the final whistle.

A fairly typical experience for this season, that game. A decent first half, but the willful lack of service to Haaland has become conspicuous. The second half had very little to recommend it, either from an entertainment or footballing tactics POV.

Pointless having a centre forward if you never look for him
SO many times he made a forwards run..Grealish found him once but him and Gundo missed numereous opportunities to play him in....Its like we have got so used to keeping the ball over the last few years and playing possession and smoothering teams (higher up the pitch) that the players are just on auto pilot and not seeing the runs...they are blindingly obvious

Fucking hell get a grip
So you think that was acceptable, do you? We could barely string half a dozen passes together. We were pedestrian. We looked bereft of attacking ideas. The refusal of the manager to make changes to freshen up the side is bizarre. The big positive is that we didn't lose. But if we get past Leipzig, we'll need to considerably up our performances, and up them to 90 minute levels, not the current 45 minute ones.
