RB Leipzig (A) | Post Match Thread

No chance this team is getting near a champions league final this time around.
We're shit compared to what we were but everyone is pretty shit really. Madrid are 10 points off barca. Bayern are struggling big time. I honestly think we can win it not being at our best.

5th team in Germany, but they are 4 points away from being leaders. Have beaten Madrid, drew Bayern and dominated both. They have lost once in like 30 games. They started very poorly the season, if not they would be leaders in Bundesliga.

You sir have no idea of football if you think we were so bad
Calling me sir goes a long way to be fair. But if you watched that and thought it was good then what can i do but try and sell you another braille keyboard.

Get a grip.

Embarrassing
He's not wrong, Pep has already managed them out of one CL title with a baffling team selection against Chelsea. It seems like he puts his ego ahead of the club, like he doesn't want to just put out the best XI and let them dominate because he might not get enough credit.

They are 4 points off the top. They beat Madrid in the group and only finished 1 point behind it. See how the narrative can sound different?
Is that the same Madrid team that are 8 points off a Barca team that United should have beaten last week?

That tonight wasn't a good side at all, jot even a tough game. Yeah they had a go in the 2nd half, but they were devoid of any real quality.

We had it too easy in the 1st half and came out the 2nd half cold.

It was a penalty. That was open corruption for everyone to see and honestly I don't care anymore.
Let happy clappy Khaldoon deal with it, his money and his problem to solve.

I'm sick of all this match fixing BS and I'm starting to hate the game I used to love.
Yep. I fucking love the club, and for all who are saying our game is boring at the mo, bollocks. The technique our players have excites me and makes me giddy, if we when we don’t win. Leipzig defended well and closed those passing options in the second half, tip my hat to them, it wasn’t because we were shit.

But what the fuck is going on with VAR and why the fuck are the consumers as ultimate bank rollers of the game kept in the dark, with no explanations for the decision making. It just creates the conspiracy that the game is bent.

So like you I have a lot of hate creeping in. Hate for the media, hate for the administrators, hate for the match officials, hate for the sport. It isn’t a healthy feeling. And I fucking hate that.

Pre match I said we'd win 4-1, and I was half right!

Post match, I remind you all that City can expect nothing from VAR. Absolutely any other team would have had a 50/50 chance of the equaliser being ruled out, and a 100% chance of a late penalty for handball.

So, as ever, we have to do it ourselves. In future, I pray that KDB and Foden rediscover their fitness and form, and that we can start feeding the beast, otherwise, we need to drop him and go back to the false 9. We cannot keep Bernardo and Mahrez spinning in circles to retain possession when we have the beast to deploy. At least Grealish tries to find him, occasionally. He is being wasted completely recently. He was released only once in the 2nd half and had the beating of Gvardiol. Feed him the fucking ball, for Christ's sake!

Rant over. Hopefully we stuff 'em in the home leg and go onwards and upwards.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Your post history is very strange u only seem to come on here when we've not won.

Chelsea away HT came on to call Pep
Arsenal FA Cup HT came on to say we were boring
Spurs away same shit
Tonight boring again

Where was u for Arsenal last Wed?
Where was u 2nd half Vs Chelsea?

Lurking muppet.

Good professional performance. They were dangerous on the break but with the home leg to come we are in pole position. Interesting that VAR was used much less than the Premier League and the game was better for it.

Frustrating night yes but Jesus Christ… How many fucking trophies has he won for us…
Lot's but there comes a point where you can see his stubborness costing us.

We won titles / trophies by smashing teams in the furst half and the second half of gmes was relatively pointless. Now we could all see a change in the game was needed, we can see Phil and Alvarez on the bench, but Pep doesn't. No subs tonight, why?

We had a chance to win the CL, but instead of picking a team to win, he overthought it and we lost the chance. I don't think we'll ever get another chance to nail the CL with Pep in charge.

He's been a great manager, and we've seen some amazing football under him, but he is now too set in his ways I fear, which has led to watching some terrible games this year. Sometimes it's good to realise when it's time to move forward and thank the incumbent for where they have got us.
