I had to walk from the ground back to Deansgate Square. Getting away from the place is impossible. I was up at 6 just home and back up again at 6. Not pleased with Peps comments.
Someone just posted that he had just got back and there were lots of spaces.
I'm not having a pop at anyone, just expressing my surprise based on the pre match discussion suggesting a near sell out.
Are you sure? Because when it's not against a Big 6 club or a European powerhouse you have to pay this local fans to show up and even if they do they are quite as a mouse and don't even have the courtesy of staying until the match is done.We turn up in league games. Loads of us have a disconnect with the champions League. Add on the absolute shit transport system in Manchester, especially after 6pm and the cost of going to every game in these financially challenging times and something has to give. We're not all wealthy people like Pep and the players he needs to give it a fucking rest.
It wasn't the most attractive of fixtures and as we have 3 home games on the bounce many fans are going to pick & chose
Football is a dear do nowadays & for some ,going to a game is a treat & not something they can do 20-30,times a season
Not all City fans are fanatics & will just go to the games that suits them best
For a couple to go to tonights game with match ,tickets, metro, taxi a couple of drinks & somet to eat you won't get much change out of £100
If Pep thinks the fans & attendance were poor tonight
He will have a meltdown when he sees the crowd against Wycombe
Welcome to the real world Pep
Where many City fans are on Zero hour contracts
Have to use food banks,
Their kids need to have free school meals
Many are struggling on Uneversal Credit
Some have to chose which bills to pay first
Many more fans would love to go but are either priced out or just skint
They must be spitting feathers at Peps remarks

The comment though is strange in the context of this match because I thought we actually had good attendance. He probably meant to comment on our usual library atmosphere
Exactly, I don't remember this obsession with grounds being full every game in the 80s and 90s.A few empty seats dotted around big deal. Then we have the vast empty space with a handful of away fans in it. I'm not sure where this obsession with full houses started but it needs to fuck back off there. If 40,000 people turn up on a Wednesday night then I personally think that's a good showing
