A lot of people (and I mean, A LOT) on here seem to have very short memories re what this team/squad/club are capable of. I texted this to a mate just as the second half started.....

Liverpool had their lowest XG of the season so far on Saturday so not every team.

Form varies.
 
So wasteful in front of goal. City continue where they left off against Liverpool.
City should have had 4 goals in the first half and 5 in the second.
The right result in the end - though obviously Leipzig fans won't think so.
Some shambolic defending mind. Boy, do we miss Stones stepping up into defensive midfield and plugging the holes.
Spurs and Villa will hope this spell keeps going.

i watch pep’s interviews, he was very clear about wanting to secure the first place tonight to focus on the league, and to make sure city play the second cl game at home next year.
