RB Leipzig (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Leipzig you wanted us angry, you got us angry!

Worrying 1st half. Not sure if it was worse than Southampton away last season but it was that bad.

But Pep made subs and Julian changed the game..

He might be in bad form but even then he can change a game!

LOL @ all who doubted him!

BTW Rico in midfield is Gundo like. Excellent!
and Rico has pace - long way to get to Gundog's level, but what potential the young man has - could see him playing against Spuds

sorry to keep banging on about Doku. But this Doku coming off the bench when a team is tired is nonsense. He’s been our brightest player for weeks. He deserves to be one of the first names on the team sheet. Special mention to Foden who played a vital part in all the goals.

Mission complete.

Cracking second half after a woeful first half.

Dias is a worry, he’s really out of form and costing us goals. Big shout to Rico Lewis who I thought was outstanding and foden though not his best getting a goal and two assists will do him good.

pep mentioned previously that doku can’t play every 3 days. said the same about ake.

Shocking first half, with some stunningly bad performances (Dias, Rodri, Akanji). But much improved second half, good show of character.
All the subs were very good, the change of shape made a world of difference. Hopefully stick with it and forget the fullbacks-out-wide-with-Rodri-hopelessly-isolated system we started with.
Shout out for Ake - so underrated. Outstanding defender, very good footballer. And obviously a brilliant pro who takes everything on board and goes out and does it.
