I think the likes of Utd fans & others of the same ilk will be disappointed when it comes to FFP stopping City, Chelsea, PSG or Anzhi. Firstly it's against European law & the moment the powers that be try & stop a club or threaten to throw them out of European competition, then you'll see the big spenders flex their muscles & involve their lawyers! It's 'restriction of fair trade' so will never ever be enforced, it's a pipe dream & will be challenged at some point.
As for Cavani, Bale & Isco... Yes I believe we could & would buy those three if we really wanted. IMO we'll look at Cavani, Isco & Rues with a possible cheeky bid for a player like Hummels (not saying we'll buy all those but we will bid). This last season proved we still need to improve so the owner will not just let everyone else spend & catch up.
He's not daft, he'll already have plans in place to challenge should the need arise. With rules there are always loopholes & I believe the big spenders have found them.

I think you'll be surprised at both the enforcement of FPP and the amount you've spent come the end of the summer.

I won't! FFP will never, I'll repeat NEVER be enforced in the capacity they are saying it will. Say you own a company, are you willing to accept an outside force saying you're not allowed to spend £10k on improving your business? Or saying you can't have investment? It'll never stand up in court. Like I say its against European fair trade laws & as such wont fully be enforced.
Do you honestly believe the man who bought 4 major investments in one day (City being his cheapest purchase) would not have the resources to see this quashed in European courts? He will have the best lawyers ripping the proposal apart page by page, & it's clearly obvious that PSG etc feel the same way.

What capacity do you mean by though, exclusion from the CL? That'll happen, as it has done with Malaga. The main thing is though, it's City who want to take part in the CL, for them to do that they have to abide by their rules, it's the same with any other club.

Malaga were banned because they owed millions in transfer fees, agent fees and player wages! Its has nothing to do with how the books look. FFP is doomed, it will fold at the first serious challenge, it was designed to court public opinion.

The new PL chairman, (Anthony Fry), is a rag as are the new FA chairman, (Greg Dyke), and his vice-chairman, (David Gill).
Gill is expected to become the English football's representative on Uefa's executive committee in the summer.

If there is another way to challenge FFP in the courts, surely it would come in the form of an attempt to make transfer fees illegal? That doesn't mean that players could freely move, being tied up by contracts, but if City wanted Bale and Spurs were prepared to release the player, all that City should have to do is pay up the wage deal that Bale and Spurs had agreed, and no more. There is no logical reason that a club should pay a transfer fee on top, and if Bale felt that Spurs were blocking his desire to move by asking silly money, it could possibly lead to a Bosman type ruling. Spurs could always insist the player sees out his contract first which is fair enough, but as we all know, when a player agitates for a move, he can be more trouble than it's worth to the holding club, so letting that player go with his outstanding contract refunded should be enough without daft money being added to his release.

If this happened and transfer fees were to be outlawed, it would surely kill FFP stone dead.

This will creat a chaos of epic proportion

As far as I can work out its a restrictive practice under European law, the chumps league is an invitation cup, but how spupid would they look blocking the champions, if some fucker told me I could upgrade my computer systems with my own money because my competitors couldn't afford it I laugh at them.
