I won't! FFP will never, I'll repeat NEVER be enforced in the capacity they are saying it will. Say you own a company, are you willing to accept an outside force saying you're not allowed to spend £10k on improving your business? Or saying you can't have investment? It'll never stand up in court. Like I say its against European fair trade laws & as such wont fully be enforced.
Do you honestly believe the man who bought 4 major investments in one day (City being his cheapest purchase) would not have the resources to see this quashed in European courts? He will have the best lawyers ripping the proposal apart page by page, & it's clearly obvious that PSG etc feel the same way.

What capacity do you mean by though, exclusion from the CL? That'll happen, as it has done with Malaga. The main thing is though, it's City who want to take part in the CL, for them to do that they have to abide by their rules, it's the same with any other club.

Malaga were banned because they owed millions in transfer fees, agent fees and player wages! Its has nothing to do with how the books look. FFP is doomed, it will fold at the first serious challenge, it was designed to court public opinion.

I guess we'll see won't we, I don't think it will, as clubs won't dare spend stupid amounts like they have done in the past. Let's see at the end of the summer if City or any club have a net spend of say £100m+.

totally untrue. there was not a sniff of ffp until we got our money.

fear and jealousy are horrible to contend with.

It's not just going to stop you though is it, it'll stop any team from doing the same or if a billionaire fancies a little pet project.

Fear and jealousy are part of it but would you really be happy supporting a team that spent a crazy amount of money every season to buy success? There'd be no passion in that, football would just end up being a competition between billionaires.

I think you'll be surprised at both the enforcement of FPP and the amount you've spent come the end of the summer.

Yawn, coming from a glory hunter with no soul, who supports a team who have continually bought success, I would have thought sprouting shit, would be second nature?

in what capacity are you on here? Are you not a SCUM fan?

cprowe: in the capacity of everything. Like I say they can't & won't enforce it. As it stands all they have done is threaten the likes of City, PSG etc but they haven't as of yet tried to really enforce their threats. The reason why is they know it'd never stand up in court, they'll move the goal posts at the end of this season by making excuses & saying they are extending the deadline to meet their FFPR.
As a red you'll not really know what you want, by the rules being enforced (let's pretend) you'll be fucked! The glazers won't sell so you'll never have the spending power we do unless they stop using you as a cash cow. But let's also pretend someone does buy you, your value is £1.5b a huge amount in itself. But regardless off what you all like to believe you still have debt of £700m, okay half is magically not seen as debt due to it being issued as, lets call them "shares", but those will need paying back at some point in the near future. So in reality it's going to take someone with a disposable income of say £2.3b just to buy you before they paid out for players, add another £200m (but FFP will mean that's not possible)... So we know that ain't gonna happen anytime soon.
Now lets look at the other option, the rules are not enforced as I predict, you'll still be in the above situation needing £2.5b to get a new owner as we know your windw limit seems to be set at £25m max, but we'll keep spending so it's nul n void really. Also as its pretty much a given you wouldn't be bought by an individual we can guess it'd be a consortium & we all know how that currently works eh. You'd become someone else's cash cow.
So back to FFP, whatever way you look at it our spending won't be stopped, okay we'll humour the powers that be for now but come the transfer window opening I think we'll spend a lot more than some are expecting.
Your lot are now worried, what I noticed most about you winning the league was less your enthusiasm about getting your 20th title but more about how giddy you all got that City didn't win it! That's a huge complement to us & something we're proud of & it proves we do matter to you regardless of what you all claim. City are here for the long haul & you all know it, FIFA & Uefa also know it too. So congratulations on your 20th, enjoy it, soak it up but take note... City will win it back.
