Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Well the cunning plan to stop us shipping goals in the last 15 minutes almost worked. Take it easy for 75 minutes and then make a big push at the end. Only foiled by the referee only allowing 2 minutes at the end just as we were getting going!

i dont agree with your statement. they came mid table and are beatable by the best teams in the premier league which we are very far away from

we havent beaten anyone decent for nearly a year - maybe Villa last April. our last win against a really top european level side was probably the inter final
Mate don't give any value to that 36 team table. Teams literally didn't give a fuck until the last 2 or 3 games. Atalanta finished 9th and got knocked out last night, fat lot of good that table was.

Your 2nd paragraph is the reason we shouldn't be surprised, transition season, the dicking was expected.

I think Savinho is colour blind, he kept passing to the referee.

I loved how Khusanov ran down Vinicius, I didnt realise he was that quick.

I ended up watching it in silence. I had to turn the commentary off. Crimson Clive Tyldesley on CBS was cringeworthy.
Same here with the commentary.

Wow completely ridiculous by the officials NO VAR check on a stonewall pen, We pretty much waved the white flag tonight and again mistakes killed us and the game. The truth is City have not got any full-backs and teams are dipping their bread facing us.

I hate watching us waving the flags and rolling over, We have world-class players letting us down and even the captain could not muster any desire to stamp some home truths because he was the main culprit, Also SIlva did not want to be out there in a City shirt.

The Senior Players have let the fans down tonight and was hard to swallow, If the game plan was worked on and players asked to perform it was given away after a couple of minutes with that Dias mistake

Next time Pep, keep your pre game thoughts about your beloved Spanish teams to yourself. Footballs a mental game too you know!
Pep didn’t give a shit as he knew we were going out. Not good for us fans and risked a proper walloping. The 3-1 was a steal, will take it all day when you are set up to lose.

A squad overhaul is needed. Too many players either injury prone (despite being really good), knackered (just physically not up for it anymore) or coasting (effort and body language poor). A lot of hard truths about this season will need to be accepted and resolved.

It is what it is. Wake up call. I'm sure the team (whoever the players are) will respond next season.
