Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Basically the dressing room was disconsolate. Didn’t speak, shell shocked, didn’t even shower before they headed to the coach.

Look, once they cross the white line its up to them ? Pep sets the team up and hopes the players take it in and play
City did have 2 or 3 early chances and was playing well, but once they scored we fell apart and got beaten well and truly and no completes really, The penalty save was something to cling to with overturning the tie.

Also, this weekend's game at West Ham will speak volumes on how the player feels and lets hope nobody as washed their hands with whats left of this season

I think tactics played a big part before they crossed the line, but agree let’s see what response there is tomorrow.

So Jack Gaughan was in the dressing room to witness no words, everyone shell shocked & nobody taking a shower?

Come on Barney, does that really sound true enough to worry about? Sounds like Jack is chatting shite to me

Football has a funny way of repeating itself and I remember watching Barca beat Liverpool 3-0 and missing a few sitters late in. Liverpool turned it around in the next leg.

I think Donnarumma’s penalty save could be just as big a moment.

We’ve got fuck all to lose and should go out all guns blazing. For me we’re at our best when we’re direct and attack with pace and purpose. We get a first half goal and the Etihad will be rocking.

I’d play Haaland, Doku/Semenyo, Cherki up top with Reinjders, O’Reilly and Rodri in the middle and Ait-Nouri, Guehi, Khus and Nunes at the back.

Pace, movement and forward running and we’ll tear them apart.
Much rather beat the gooners Sunday week than try to turn this around. We are unlikely to do this and even more unlikely to win the competition. We have a realistic chance in both the domestic cups and two victories would represent a great return from the season.

I think 90% of fans would agree with that. If we lose next Sunday the season could implode!

City 5-3 up as the game went into injury time. Within 5 mins RM had levelled it up at 5-5 to take it to extra-time. We went out 6-5.

Rodders and Bernie played that night. As did Phil Foden. They will remember that pain like it was yesterday. Rodders and Bernie to do the teamtalk.

We owe these fuckers a comeback win.
With those two in the team, a ko win is not going to happen

Why would you bring that game up? Why? Why?

The softest penalty I will ever see sent them through, Dias breathed on him as he trod on a landmine

That the one Grealish hit the post from a yard out when we were chasing a goal when we didn’t need one. Mental that game. One of our biggest fucks ups in the last 10 years.
We really should have won 3 champions leagues if we're truly honest, at least 3 of these 5. lyon, spurs, chelsea final, the one we won, that madrid nightmare. Not that that one night wasnt amazing...
