Dick on ITV reporting on dippers game tonight from Spain said Liverpool tonight Manchester Utd tomorrow.

To make it worse, when the girl in the Studio corrected him and asked was his faux Pas showing his bias, he pulled a face.
.
Wanker.

With regards this game, I am not even nervous.

A vastly superior team in every way and if we turn up, we win, it really is that simple.

More worried about the impact on Newcastle and Wolves games.

We are better, and their manager and players know it!

But we may be unlucky, or the officials may harm our chances (say, we get an exaggerated red card), etc. A game may go wrong in many ways, even if we play close to our best. That's football, as we should know from some encounters with vastly inferior teams (we couldn't beat Southampton and Palace over 4 games, and lost twice from Spurs!). No need to get ahead of ourselves (e.g., to think about Newcastle...). To show some respect to the opposition, whether it's Real or Wigan, is a good thing. Let the fans of the red clubs be arrogant before games. There's nothing bad in being a bit big-headed, but better show it after games :)

I believe this team is for the biggest occasions, and if we turn up, then it will be extremely difficult for Real indeed. So I mostly agree with your point. Let's not jinx it though :)

We will score at least two. We will have to have a seriously poor showing to concede four.

Foden and Kev to take them apart when it matters most.
I've gone for the draw this time but I do hope you are right about KDB and Foden. Yes, if we score two it is difficult to see us conceding 4. Old blue habits and all that though... I feel nervy because the tie should have been put to bed by half time in the first leg but here we are. Anyway if you and @kippaxwarrior feel drained by the time we kick off it's because I have plucked your positive vibes out of the ether to sustain myself, sorry.

Getting that first goal is key tomorrow night, silence the crowd take the pressure off ourselves and then pick Real Madrid off as they come out chasing the game

I once posted Bony was a top signing!!

We are a much better side, but as we know there are other factors. A huge plus is the fact that we have a fit back four.

Alaba is also set to miss out for them, so it'll be Nacho and Militao in defense. Neither are in great form. As for their fullbacks, you can really get at them, both struggle with pace and direct runners.

For me it's about control. Keep the ball through their press, because if it's Kroos, Modric, Valverde and Casemiro then it won't be as ferocious as other teams and then build.

As you say two goals gets us through. Score first and that Bernabeu could easily turn.

Maybe to you but the winning of the CL would be worth millions more in sponsoring.
Also the players have a desire to win it and should be backed by our fans.

What a load of sycophantic nonsense. Multi millionaires kicking a ball around to make more money for multi billionaires.

The CL is the biggest con in football.

Fully expecting this from kick off, relentless pressing from madrid trying to force an error and snatch a goal, first 20 minutes so crucial.

Doubt it tbh, it really would go against what has served them against the last 2 bigger teams they've faced. The reason they did well against us was countering us when we over-committed, when we aren't able to get the positioning correct. Not to say that they can't beat us on the front foot, we haven't been great in defence of late, but it kind of plays into our hands IMO.

I see Pep really trying to drum it into the players about control in this game, don't let the pace of the game be too fast.
