Real Madrid (A) Post Match Thread

We’re all entitled to our opinions I guess
I just don’t trust Laporte
I don’t disagree with you. He had a great game at the weekend but was up against a Leeds attack that was makeshift and disjointed. Against the very best his frailties were exposed, but so too would those of Ake. Ideally, we’d have had a fit Walker, Stones, Dias, and Cancelo, but at this stage of the season you rarely have the ideal, and the fact that they’re all right-footed would leave us imbalanced.

One things that makes it slightly more bearable is at least we have four games left in the season to take some of that pain away. Having a full summer to dwell on a loss like that would be hard to take, but now Sunday is huge and a must win at all costs game.

Losing to Real Madrid in the CL semi-final (like that) isn't the end of the world. I know it feels like it is to some people.

Let's put life and football into perspective. We could be 1 of those people, men, women, and children trapped in the Azovstal steelworks with the Russian Army using everything in it's arsenal to try and kill them.

I know it hurts losing to Real Madrid like that, but it's not the end of the World. City will be back in the CL next season. And City could still win the PL title.

Sadly for all those Men, Women, and Children going through unimaginable hell and horror right now in the Azovstal steelworks, it will be the end of their world and their lives.

91 other clubs would swap places for our set-up in a heartbeat.

If you want certainty in football, then people need to find another hobby?

It's shocking, but hardly devastating, we lost in a European Cup semi-final away to Real Madrid.

First World problems.

Pep and the Club have worked wonders and a Fourth Premier League title in five seasons would be nothing short of phenomenal.

A lot of people are jumping the shark. We won't get better than Pep, unless we want to try and fluke a Roberto De Matteo for 12 months?

I have sensed with this competition that quite a few people now want to to win it just to shut up our detractors, but those critics will still be there, regardless.

The only thing we as fans need to concern ourselves with, is making sure we are right behind the lads over this next week and drag them over the line.
I agree with your comment.....

Yes it hurts but there is no blame that should be put on Peps shoulders. At the end of day the changes he made with subs were largely effective.

The 2 goals were not created by incisive play or even necessarily big mistakes. It was 2 speculative crosses of which the first was overhit and the second a double connection. The players and shape are what you would have expected.

As always you need a bit of luck and if those Grealish chances had gone in then the performance would have been hailed as professional

I don't read HYS or listen to radio shows as it is always full of trolls and the press feed them.

In over 40 years of watching City this is the best time ever and as usual I will be there cheering them on at the game on Sunday.

They need our unwavering support now more than ever

It’s all rather odd and I just cannot see all of these situations (left-side of the defence and a defensive right-back) being resolved in two summer transfer windows let alone one.

Plus we need a CM to replace Fern and still haven't replaced Sane.

There could be players leaving too and they would need filling.

I fear we go all out for Haaland and leave other areas neglected as usual and the club hope Pep can work miracles again.

Let’s get it right, pep should have won it by now. He alone has cost us many times, last night probably not as much but he carries the can. Just like how he personally has cost us the fa cup three years on the spin. Going out I think blues overall could live with, the calamitous fashion we’ve gone out yet again is what’s sickening. You are 6 mins away from going through and a goal up, yet somehow concede 2 and could have easily been 3 in those 6 minutes. We all have a right to be disgusted

Do we really need these sorts of comparisons?

People are gutted with the result, it's pointless comparing it to war zones.... We realise it's not the same.
