Real Madrid (A) | Post Match Thread

Madrid are a completely different side playing at home in from of their own fans.

This season they have not travelled well and have been average at best.

Apart from Brentford and Everton we have been imperious at home and that's why many blues including me and the bookies have us as heavy favourites
Pretty good at Liverpool IIRC just saying ;-)
Lets just win the next leg FFS :-)

Him and Jake Humphrey are the fucking worst. Rio is more blatantly biased which I actually don't mind as much, at least he's honest. Humphrey on the other hand, he's a underhand, manipulative cock. Dropping hints all over the show about his biases, trying to pretend he's impartial. Then there's his high performance podcast thing - FUCK ME, he loves the sound of his own voice. He lives in a bubble of bullshit where everyone surrounding him has eternally licked his arse, hence his inflated sense of ego. Why don't you high performance yourself a torpedo and fire yourself into the sea you blinkered, painfully privelidged ****.
I always thought on the F1 Eddie Jordan hated the fucker and had no time with his no knowledge, Suzie P was there at the time and she went back to MOTOGP thank god.

It’s pretty simple to solve.
Bernardo was getting done by the third man runs.
And he was hard to catch once he was away

If Bernardo had realised the run a split second earlier he would have stopped the ball getting to vinictius

I think he got done three times with that little scenario
Yeah, and when it’s Modric running past him you know he’s been beat by the pass & the run, he did do some strange things in that game Bernie, at one stage he ran round for about 30 seconds chasing the ball, never laid a glove on anyone or got near the ball, then tried launching Vin jnr just outside the box, I was laughing my head off

I rewatched the full game again in a cooler state of mind
I thought we played very well. They were a tough apponent.
They tried that flick manoeuvre a couple of times before it paid off with a goal
We were a bit sloppy with the ball at times, especially I the 2nd half.
Need to get a grip of that next week.
Stones seems to have been caught in two minds often about his distribution to the front players, and as a result was sloppy.
Real are a great side, but at our place I just don't think they have the team ethos to triumph. They are 'moments' players away from home at this level.
I agree with the bookies. By all accounts our team work ethic should trump their individual brilliance.
Pressure and time; that's what will win it for us.... pressure, and time.
