Great result, very mixed performance.

I feel like at the top of our game we can absolutely blow them away and that we played the occasion rather than them.

Anywhere near our best and we go through at home.

The team is obviously feeling the toll of the season. Hopefully 4 days rest is enough!

Not sure why people thought we played average. We played one of the best teams in the world away from home, and controlled 60% of the match

‘average performance’ does not recognise that they have just as good players as us.

Vinicius is probably the best player on either team. they have a ton of players who can smash it from distance which was their main threat.

And their defenders played Haaland to perfection.

Main concern is tiredness - they are nowhere in their league and can rest 8 or 9 at the weekend. we cant rest rodri, gundog, de bruyne and bernie at the weekend, maybe only one of them. they all looked exhausted in that heat.

Thought we played really well for the most part. Now that the emotion of the matchday thread is over, we have to realise we've gone to the bernabeu against the champions and gone absolutely toe to toe with them. Genuinely elite level stuff. I think we have them
