I think their biggest absence is Militao. For me, he's one of the best center-backs in the world. He had two serious injuries (torn ACLs) and quickly returned to his best form, fast, tough, and hard-tackling.

Mendy is also very good defensively but offers nothing offensively.

Hujssen and Ascensio are poor defensively.

I'm genuinely surprised Rudiger is still walking unassisted after some of the tackles and fouls he has committed.
