Anyone think this will be very hard or fall for this all these players supposed be out will have falling for the Madrid Media bulllshit they like to spout!

Madrid at there’s with the referee in there pocket they can pack the bus and just have Mbappe up top and beat us! We have to be perfect to win!
The referee definitely wasn’t in their pocket at the weekend but I agree we need to bring our A game tonight to get a result. I’d snap your hand off for a point right now.

This probably sounds crazy but If he was happy to throw against Leverkusan then I'd rather he throws tonight as well. Go all in for the palace game. Last thing we wanna do is give Arsenal the momentum back.

I think Leverkusen was a learning point, Palace probably go full strength in Europe tomorrow, so that kind of evens the playing fields.

He'll go strong tonight.

*I said he won’t go easy with the team selection tonight, I never mentioned Leverkusen
I'm just pointing out the Pep's Achilles heel of fucking around with team selection was exposed (yet again) v Leverkusen, meaning that is the reason why we now have to get something tonight to even think about progressing comfortably.

It is difficult for me to forget that Leverkusen game. It has made automatic qualification very difficult. We have to get at least a draw tonight. And then we have to go to Palace at the weekend. I know they are playing Shelbourne on Thursday but surely they can beat Shelbourne with their eyes shut.

I think we could field a full-strength team tonight, chase after this game and we'd still likely get beat. Id rest everyone who needs it and focus on Palace on sunday which will for sure be really tough.

I dont see us getting anything this evening.

On Betfair we are favourites to win this! Real are 3.0 and we are 2.38. Looks like there must be Big Trouble in Little Madrid and the players are trying to get the manager sacked.

I can't see Pep going to the lads at lunch time and saying "I tell you what lads, I think your all a bit rubbish to beat this Real Madrid in dire straits ravaged with injuries, we will only get beat anyway. Let's focus on Palace"

These players live for nights like these, not Palace away.

They won't beat Shelbourne in Ireland comfortably. Most of their games in Europe have been tight:

Palace are 18th in the Conference League and Shelbourne don't really get battered either:

So we shouldn't worry about Palace with our team selection, they should be more tired than us on Sunday.

Yep, plus Real Madrid must be Pep's hated rival.

I understand that logic but we lost the Leverkusen game so there's very little margin left.

It is possible though that 6 points from the 3 remaining games would be enough for automatic qualification.

I think City will be at full strength. I don't agree with some other comments that City should beat Real Madrid. They are weaker than usual, but City are without Rodri and still developing. All results are possible.

Im sure we will come out very motivated to make it up to our fans for the horror show against Celta and we might even score first. But this Madrid squad is a structural mess and for the players its impossible to stick to instructions for 15, let alone full 90 minutes, and not resort to playground football. Now with the injuries were even lacking that individual talent needed to bail us out. Vinicius is a headless chicken and Rodrygo is completely toothless and off form. Neither of them is a pick by Xabi, who btw has seemingly lost the dressing room in his desperate attempts to come up with an impossible balance between giving players what they want and getting them to follow his ideas.

Theres a very bad atmosphere at the club right now, so I'm pretty sure unless a miracle happens we will lose this one and Xabi will get fired. Positional errors is how the current Madrid brand of football can be described. I expect a nice 4-1 drubbing for City.
It'll be an interesting game. Despite three wins on the bounce, we're not playing well. We are terrible defensively.

We can score though - so I'm expecting a lot of goals for both sides.

Thank you for posting that but I'd still be surprised if Palace play their strongest XI at Shelbourne given that they are hosting City. It will be helpful for City at Palace but I am not sure how much.

I think we are going to play our strongest XI but I see the Champions League games as problematic for our Premier League games. I am always thinking about the impact on our next league game. I want to do well in the Champions League but I don't think we have the squad to fight on all fronts.
