Fair enough. They obviously put the leftovers on normal sale that hospitality don’t take up. I get sent emails for VIP packages for some reason and they always include a Cat. 1 ticket.

You still think my 19800 points won't be enough for a ticket? Baring in mind the names on tickets and collection process?
The criteria goes down to 15k and you said that you'd be amazed and shocked if it went down lower than 23k on the 1st published criteria and that there's no chance this goes below 20k.
I was amazed when I saw that as I was told approx 1000 tickets would go onsale to loyalty point holders.
There are now going to be more than that going onsale to this group, due to the short selling time available.
In other words the agencies they deal with can't shift them in time.
Hope you get one and there is now hope for one of our group on 18000

Yep. Pretty sure it is a "must" situation. Think it was the same last season. Presumably part of the photo ID matching the name on the ticket bullshit Real insist on. They obviously just don't want away fans there at all so put these little hurdles in the way to make it more difficult, and then when you get there the police twat you outside the stadium.

In you Spain you have to carry ID regardless, and they force you to put your ID number on tickets for things like football games and festivals. I've been to see Atletico and Barcelona play as a tourist and you're still expected to provide that info. Admittedly, the lines of riot police and sniffer dogs and the rest of it is something they reserve for away fans, it was harder getting into the stadium than it was the plane last year.

Get the person who buys them to collect from the club
No passport numbers on the actual tickets
I been three times and not going to this one, that club can fuck right off, as the police can and the city
I went last year and picked my ticket up on Madrid. The process went well: going to actual Spain stadiums as an away fan fills me dread, however. Shame - as I love Madrid

Last year was pretty reasonable TBF but some of the policing of the away fans in previous games we've had at Real was shocking.

Had an this email about half an hour ago, they aren't doing anything
First, thanks so much for showing interest in our potential flight to Madrid for the semi-final.
Also, thanks for to all those who travelled with us to Munich last week.
Sadly, it has so far not been possible for us to secure a suitable aircraft for the semi-final.
Aircraft offered to us are way higher than our target price range. One of our regular airlines did suggest that they had something available but for whatever reason it was then not available, and we suspect this may be due to lack of spare crew due to increased flying around these bank holiday weekends.
The reduced ticket allocation for Madrid is also a concern to us in terms of filling an aircraft ...especially if the price is even higher than Munich.
We do plan to offer options for Istanbul, and we are already planning this.
In the meantime, we wish Manchester City and their supporters all the best for the semi-final with Real Madrid.

Well I am struggling to make it work with time off and cost. Cheapest I can find which works for me is around £650 without ticket, place to stay, food, drink and transfers!
