Real Madrid (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Not sure you understand football. I mean real world.. can't get rid of a manager and 12 players. Takes years unless it's Football Manager on pc
of course i understand football, we all agree Bernado has had his day, stones, phillips, kovacic, ake, Lewis hardly kicked a ball all season, so im suggesting we transfer list and that doesn't mean anyone will buy them Haland, Dias and Saviniho so in reality 3 regulars , bearing in mind we have Geuhi and Semenyo already bought. Hence why I said bring back players from loan and integrate them or would you rather another season of same old same old, because I wouldn't
Id rather a season of transition under a new manager where we can actually see a change than another season of Pep trying to re-invent the wheel and just coming up with a triangle

so not changed my point of view since last week- West Ham away just re-enforced it.
Think Khaldoon needs to tell Pep thanks for the memories and the glory, but time has run its course and time to say goodbye, and that includes all his coaching staff.
Identify who we want as the new manager and get them in early - I have no idea who but not another year of Pep - nothing will change - unless we just want the top 4 trophy and reached some semi finals or final only to overthink it and fuck it up trophy
Player wise and cant believe I am saying this but , Bernie let go, Stones let go, Dias transfer, Halaand Transfer, Philips let go, Kovacic Transfer, Saviniho transfer, Lewis transfer, Ake transfer, Foden given a right royal rollicking and told in no uncertain terms sort his shit out or transfer, (missing out on world cup may actually be the biggest Kick up the arse he can get)
Decide who we are bringing back from loan and actually integrate them into the first team, likewise the golden nuggets if any from the academy

not a rant, not a knee jerk just now weary of two years of meh and no visible sign of anything changing if Pep stays at the helm.
Enjoy your evening.

Thought personally we gave it our best shot tonight with 10 men, Khusanov was immense tonight and saved from another embarrassment. I think we are a soft arse team though, real don't like being roughed up and nobody was willing to take that **** vini out and put him in the stands. Good effort though CTID
What is worrying is how hard it is for us to score.

Must have been more than a dozen chances tonight and we come off with 1 scuffed goal.

We used to score easily, and then ease up until the next game.

Can't work it out, every goal is hard to score these days.

He doesn't show it when selected, and presumably doesn't in training either, all on him for me, but I agree we are missing hist "best".
Either way, he simply could have stood motionless as his arm was not in an unnatural position. Look, mistakes happen, but that was unnecessary and it scuppered whatever chance we had just minutes into the match.

Bernardo's hand ball was an instinctive reaction and we paid dearly , the team did OK with ten men , showed fight and if we show the same commitment on Sunday despite media , punters and some of our fans writing us off , we can lift that trophy at Wembley , but we need to work on set pieces , defending theirs and getting one of players to learn how to take a decent corner, this could decide the game.

Like in the first leg we failed to score from our early chances and got punished again.

We were playing well. The starting XI was way more balanced than that in Madrid.

Won't fault our team tonight they put in maximum effort.

Proud of them
Going down to 10 men so early, they did a terrific job. I feel badly for all of them, and us, but we need to prepare for The Arse. Beating that lot will greatly improve our mood, if not our outlook.

Getting beat home and away and having the captain give away a penalty and get sent off?
Fair, but no. We got beat because we aren’t good enough and the team selection in Madrid was wrong.

We were in the game tonight. More attacking intent (still not good enough but the effort was there) Khus bailing out a disorganised defence and some solid tackles going in. I enjoyed seeing urgency before the 85th minute.
