Feels like a defeat that one. Football is a strange game at times. Some absolutely woeful defending at times. But a win is a win!

Should’ve won by 2-3 goals but our finishing and some shaky moments in the defence cost us.

don’t think anyone would’ve been dissatisfied with a 1 goal lead before the game though. They can definitely be gotten at in Madrid.

Tough to complain about a win but we should've killed that off. Still think we'll go through but we've made that far harder then it needed to be

Can’t blame the defence, we missed Walker and Cancelo, but how on Earth did we not score 6 or 7, the story of our season. I think we needed a 2 goal cushion at least, Just hope Stones isn’t out for the season.

won 4-3 but feels like a draw. Defence was all over the place, some of the finishing was criminal, and just a little reminder of how clinical madrid can be.

Thankfully we'll have our full backs back for the away leg.

We're in the long grass now I feel. Too wasteful, and have made it very difficult for ourselves now I fear.

If it was 1-0 with only a few chances created by both teams i would be happy but now i feel cheated and frustrated.
It really should have been 6-3 or 6-2 or something like with us having 6 goals if we had at least decent finishing.

Now it seems a bad result even though it's equivalent to 1-0. Well I guess they should win against us in their home and it's not easy, so we should not feel so disappointed but we are :(
A win by any means against Leeds now!!

Massive game next week made more difficult because of defensive frailty and bad luck with injuries at the back but before the game we'd have taken a win (I think)

For a neutral it was a fantastic game of football

For city fans it was the usual missed opportunities in front of goal - should have buried them and taken at least 3 clear goals to the second leg
