Real Madrid (H) | Post Match Thread

How people are slagging off our attackers ? Are they mad ?! We score four goals against the best CL club ever and we concede three goals at home and some ignorant fans spare our defence and keeper and blame our attack ! Hilarious.
 
I am not happy with this result. We deserved much better, should have ended with at least 4-2 or 5-2. The atmosphere will be different in Spain. We have a 50% chance.
 
A great game.

We should have scored more sure.
I remember a few years ago a game where Dinho got exposed at RB.
However if Walker and Cancelo are fit I fully expect us to get the result we need next week.
Benzema and Vincius are class players but we have a shed load and just need to be more clinical.
 
We had them at 2-0, 3-1, 4-2...final result good but could have been much better. Great entertainment but too much wrong at both ends to ensure certain progress.
 
Strange that I'm disappointed after scoring 4 against real Madrid in a semi final.
Think we will score at least 2 over there and that should be enough to see us through.
 
Yes it’s a bit frustrating but this typical city will go to Madrid and get through this simply because we’re a better side . I said it at the time and I’ll say it now the previous round was another learning curve we won’t be daunted by the second leg. We’ll go through.

I’m sorry to say we have a fair few stupid fans. Some of the behaviour recently has been very poor. I mentioned in the match day thread that there were a couple of Real fans sat in 106 and they almost got lynched when Real scored their first goal. One City fan - a woman - started slapping on of the Real fans. The Real fans were thrown out.
 
Despite the scoreline it doesn't feel like a win. There can't be a team on the planet which creates as many chances as us, and half of them are not converted. Should have been 4-0 after half an hour. And defensively we were probably better tonight in that the one chance we allow the opposition they score, but Real had three chances before they scored! A bit of a repeat from Saturday in that our goal haul could have been double! Walker would have saved one goal, I think, and if he's fit next week that should bottle up one side!
 
That was a great game but am I wrong to feel a bit disappointed in the final score. We could and should have scored about 6 or 7 but we didnt and our defensive frailties means we are still in a contest that should be out of sight.

I still think we’ll get a result over there though.
 
Thought we were fantastic tonight. Lets remember we will play to win in Madrid but we now only need to draw. I believe we are definately favourites. Infact I think the pressure will be on RM being 1 down at there own place to perform. If they leave us gaps, which they will do, we are capable of at least 2 goals. We can do this as long as our key players stay fit but KDB is absolutely key.

We looked clinical the first 15 min. Than went back to wasting. Defensively we had one of the worst games although I realise we did play a great team. I’m sure having Walker and Cancelo back will help a lot as our play depends on our full backs.

I’m ok we won. I expect us to win there as well. 4-3 flattered then as the penalty as really unlucky. Let alone if it should’ve been given.
We missed so many sitters. And this is exactly how Real managed to get to the SF. Sheer luck. And that’s the one thing bugging me for next week.

I’m ok with Zinchenko keeping his place ahead of Cancelo, but Walker back would be a bonus.
I think even a fit Ake would be a plus. Not impressed with Laporte’s defending.
He carries the ball better than Dias into attack but he can be rash.
