Real Madrid post match post mortem

Being so scared of them countering and playing painfully slow and cautiously at the start had us playing too scared to risk losing in order to win. That period of the game was where we went out. Madrid took advantage and then played very organised, it’s all they had to do. I don’t know what Pep said to them before they went out but he chose the wrong words.
 
Every goal in the first leg was outside the box, why were we fanning about so much? Shoot for fucks sake. Taking all our pen takers off was a stupid decision too

Only ourselves to blame.
Conceded a poor goal, wasted momentum and missed a couple of sitters.
Beat ourselves.
Gonna be a massive job to lift the team for the Semi final on Saturday.
 
That was embarrassing from Bernardo. Absolutely no excuse for that.
We should have gone for the jugular after we equalised. They were there for the taking.
We played well overall. But, we only have ourselves to blame for going out.
 
Can't blame Pep. Players didn't finish their chances. Kovacic should be ashamed of himself, Silva played 120mins so that penalty can be explained, but Kovacic? Absolutely woeful penalty.
 
The pen just puts a sour taste in my mouth. Can never be confident in us to come through.

We were all over Madrid most of the game. They did NOT deserve this even though I have to admit they defended extremely well.
 
Pep isn't going to be the last manager that has fallen foul of us not being completely clinical in front of goal. We got off to a decent start in the penalties and again we failed to build on that. One positive was Eddie's penalty.
