Because Spurs are Arsenals local rivals perhaps? What significance would it be to say he's on loan from us, when Arsenal are Spurs' Derby team? Or is there another reason why the BBC said that do you think?

ooh perhaps your right, i hadn't thought of that. maybe its because i think the BBC is london-centric. The significance to say he was a City player would be because he is, and in reality City are currently a bigger rival to spurs than the arse are ie in the race for a CL spot.

If we were in this position we'd batten down the hatchet and try and take a 1-0 or 2-0 deficit back to Manchester.

And rightfully so.

But 'arry doesn't do tactics.

BTW, Wilkins is trending worldwide on Twitter. Even Ferdinand and Savage are having a go at this despicable commentary.

You have to love it. They were going to be chasing the ball the whole match for starters. Now they have absolutely no outlet, its going to be a very long night of running for spurs.
