Because Spurs are Arsenals local rivals perhaps? What significance would it be to say he's on loan from us, when Arsenal are Spurs' Derby team? Or is there another reason why the BBC said that do you think?

ooh perhaps your right, i hadn't thought of that. maybe its because i think the BBC is london-centric. The significance to say he was a City player would be because he is, and in reality City are currently a bigger rival to spurs than the arse are ie in the race for a CL spot.

Yeah but Arsenal are and always will be more significant to mention in a scenario like this than us or any other club ever will be. If, for example, Spurs were in the CL 2 years ago and faced Barca and Henry scored, do you not think it would be mentioned that he used to play for their local rivals, Arsenal? I do.

If we were in this position we'd batten down the hatchet and try and take a 1-0 or 2-0 deficit back to Manchester.

And rightfully so.

Really dunno what outcome I want here sort of wanted Spurs to get the the semis and then knocked out cos the longer they're in this the harder it is for them to get 4th with their small squad.
