Real Madrid Vs Manchester City Post Match Thread

We battled away and managed to get into the game but too many of our players were not really at the races today. Not a terrible performance from us, but not a great one and you can't expect to get a result in Madrid without being on top of your game.

Vincent looked shaky all night and was culpable for 2 goals at least. Macon looked past it. The ball bounced off Silva like it usually doesn't. Tevez was busy and ok but ineffectual.

Anyway, it's progress and we are learning. Gutted though.
Vinny has looked shaky all season.

Joe Hart pretty much summed it up
What did he say?

He basically said, with fire coming out of his eyes and steam coming out of his ears, we're too good a team to go and lose a game and think we did well, and loosing 3-2 after being 2-1 up with 8 minutes to go isn't fucking on, at all.

Dzeko did well, yaya did well, Tevez did well, hart did well(apart from the last goal) kolorov did ok.

Garcia and Barry were average. Silva poor.

Defence were all over the place again. Why have we signed Maicon? Total crap, zabaleta no better when he came on.
If we had lost 6-2 we couldn't have complained.

We should have at least got a point with 5 mind to go.

Poor defending the story of our season.

Are you serious???? Kompany ducked out of the way at the last second and the ball dipped viciously...how the hell can you expect Joe to save that?????!!!!!

Let's sign Dixon on for the next game. Seems like he can have ronaldo in his pocket. Let's face the facts, they should of won the game in the first half. Defence is shocking, worst I've seen in ages.

Dzeko changed the game when he came on tonight, the guy is a class player, especially against better teams I've noticed.

How can you have 5 at theback and Tranny is left 1 v 1 in the last minute, surely thats why here are 5 there. Our defending was amateurish at best.

Marcelo 2 shots that missed by inches yet we still give him acres of space.

What the f*ck was kompany doing for the last goal ducking for a shot 4 foot in the air 5 yard out.

So near but so far - f'in gutted

I don't know why but I never expected to win at 2-1 and even at 2-2 I wasn't that confident about getting a draw. Real Madrid probably deserved the win in the end, just hope we can bounce back and smash Arsenal back down to earth after their 6-1.
